Your dog’s home away from home
Hi! We’re Robert and Eileen 😀 We’re longtime Ithaca residents and currently have two dogs and one cat. All three animals are retired Cornell Companion Therapy Animals, and both dogs are AKC-registered Canine Good Citizens. We’ve both owned dogs throughout our lives, in addition to smaller animals like hamsters, gerbils, degus, birds, amphibians, and reptiles. You can expect that we’ll maximize quality time and attention for your pet, so we may be selective and will prioritize quality care over quantity of animals. We have a large, fenced-in backyard and live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood. Robert works from home and will stay with your pet throughout the day, and Eileen’s work schedule is very flexible. Come try us out for a more personalized doggy daycare experience! We’d love to include your dog in outdoor play time with our two dogs. But please don’t hesitate to inform us if your dog needs any special accommodations. We’d also love to provide photos throughout the day because we know how important it is to know that your pet is ok. Since our dogs are getting older, we have experience administering oral and injected medications as needed, and we’re located minutes away from Colonial Vet Hospital in the case of an emergency. Robert and Eileen are exceptional care givers. Our dog loves staying with them. They give her so much love and attention. They are quick to respond and send photos daily. We absolutely never worry about leaving her with them.
This was Poppy’s second stay and as before she had a wonderful time. The communication was great and we didn’t have to worry at all while on vacation.
Robert and Eileen were so wonderful with our dog Poppy! This was our first time leaving her with a sitter, she usually goes everywhere we do. They made her comfort and care a priority, and we are so grateful for that. She had a wonderful time, and came home exhausted in the best way! Excellent communication and very accommodating, we would certainly book another stay with them!
As always, our boys Richard and Philip had an incredible time staying with Robert and Eileen! They got lots of exercise in the big fenced yard, despite the tundra-like conditions, and we got detailed updates every day with cute photos and videos. Richard even learned to fetch! Robert and Eileen are gems, and I would leave them a 10 star review if I had the option!
“Above and beyond” is the phrase that comes to mind when I think of Drax’s time spent with Robert and Eileen. We had a wonderful meet and greet before they watched him, during which they shared their daily routine with their pups and brought us in to see their beautiful home. While Drax was there, they sent comprehensive updates and photos every day. This is not to mention their yard is huge — Drax loved running around in it and playing with both of their dogs! We’ve never felt so secure leaving Drax with a sitter before and have already booked his next stay. So grateful to have found them.
Another great visit! Leia had a lot of fall fun in the yard this time.

Schedule
Robert works from home and will stay with your pet throughout the day, and Eileen’s work schedule is very flexible. Your dog would join ours for morning, afternoon, and evening playtime outdoors or more if needed.

We prioritize playing with our pets twice or more per day in our fenced-in backyard. We have frisbees, balls, stuffed toys, and more! Your pet can join in with group playtime or receive specialized attention.
