Safety, trust & environment

You’re not just hiring a sitter — you’re getting a trained, trustworthy professional who cares like you do. Your home is your sanctuary, and I treat it that way — with respect, care, and cleanliness. I always aim to leave things exactly as I found them (or better). During drop-ins or overnight stays, I provide regular updates with photos and a quick recap of our time together, so you’re never left wondering how your pets are doing. Want more frequent check-ins? Just say the word! I’m comfortable with indoor/outdoor cameras and understand how important peace of mind is when inviting someone new into your home. You can trust that your pets — and your space — are in capable, respectful hands. Need light cleaning, organizing, a nail trim, brushing, or even a bath? I offer those services for a small fee and some clients even book me for housekeeping help too!

Information Rayven H. would like to know about your pet

Here are a few things that help me give the best care: How are they around other animals on walks? What’s your preferred walking style — lots of sniffing, or more structured with commands? Any chewing habits or potty quirks I should watch for? Where do they love being scratched — and are there any no-touch zones? What commands do they know or respond to best? Any health concerns, past injuries, or exercise limitations? Are there off-limits areas in your home? Where do they usually sleep or settle in for naps? And of course, anything else you think I should know to make them feel right at home!

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I tailor each day to their energy level and routine. High-energy dogs get long walks, playtime, and mental challenges like trick training or puzzle games. For the mellow pups, I’m all about couch cuddles, gentle play, and a calm presence. I keep their day structured with plenty of love, enrichment, and attention — whether we’re out exploring or just hanging out at home. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you can relax, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and thriving.

Pet care experience

Hi there! I’m a trained animal science grad, former vet tech assistant, and lifelong animal lover who’s cared for everything from horses to hamsters — and yes, even snakes and lizards too! With hands-on experience managing a sheep, cattle, and horse farm (plus years of dog walking, emergency pet care, and working with special needs animals), I bring confidence, calm, and a whole lot of love to every pet I meet. Whether your dog needs a high-energy playmate, your cat needs meds, or your fish just need a feeding while you're away — I’ve got it covered. While I’m technically allergic to cats, I’ve got Benadryl and a soft spot for sassy felines. I also have a major love for gentle giants like Great Danes, Newfies, and Mastiffs — the bigger, the better! I’m also proud to have earned the Rover 101 badge with a perfect score. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and tail wags are my top priority. Let’s connect — I’d love to meet your crew!

From the moment Rayven met Butters her genuine love for pets was evident thru her engaging demeanor and thoughtful questions to ensure her well-being. She kept us up updated thru out the evening and we felt completely at ease knowing Butters was in such capable and caring hands. We highly recommend her services. She is super awesome!

Rayven was fantastic! My pups warmed up her very quickly, even the one that is people selective. She took great care beforehand to meet the dogs and go over some of their quirks. Rayven sent daily updates and I never questioned that they were in great hands! She also watered some plants for me during hot weather days. I came home to happy pups and a house that looked even better than when we left. We will absolutely have her watch the pups again!

I truly can’t say enough good things about Rayven. This is the third time she has taken care of my pup and the care is fantastic. Rayven provides regular updates and I can tell how happy and comfortable my dog Sadie is. Sadie ripped her nail while I was gone and Rayven made sure she was all wrapped up and comfortable. She is the best!

This was the second time Rayven has stayed at my home with my dog Sadie and she was amazing again! Rayven is great at sending updates, makes sure Sadie gets plenty of physical and mental exercise and leaves my house super tidy. Rayven has also been very flexible with some changes to the stay dates, etc. which I very much appreciate.
