About Rachael H.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand some pups fear of separation and may become anxious with your absence. Since they are used to their usual routine, once we get acclimated I'll be sure to react to their needs quickly and in the comforts of their 'normal'. We can absolutely stay engaged in conversation as well if that helps alleviate any concerns.
Information Rachael H. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences, love them all! I would like to know any behaviors requiring special attention, if they are okay with other animals, if they are afraid of new people (if someone asks to pet them, i.e. children), if they have parts of their body they get nervous being petted, they're eating habits, and any ways that bring them comfort.
A typical day
Local trails if they're okay with other dogs/people, or the local dog parks if they love socializing. OR a quiet park and/or stroll to get in some fresh air and grass. if they're a bit more reserved and shy, I am open to suggestions if they have their preferences! I would love to play with them and just share some love :)

Pet care experience
I am happy to help care for your pups of all sizes, fur types, and fetching abilities :) I've grown up with dogs and they’re my favorite kind of companion. I'm lucky to be working from home at the moment, making my schedule flexible for you and your pup! I can walk or work at your home if needed during the day. I had volunteered for Dallas's DPA, helping foster/adoptable dogs find homes, so I'm very comfortable with shy, nervous, scared pups who just need some affection and careful attention. I have been the go-to sitter in my family/friend circles, and love to love on dogs. (I'm that person who screams "DOG!" when I see a dog at a party). Simply let me know any special conditions and I'd be more than happy to accommodate. Thank you for checking me out, and I look forward to caring for your fur child(ren)!

Reviews

I needed a petsitter to stay at my house for a week with my senior Maltese and cat. Rachael did a fantastic job taking care of the pets, administering meds, and sending pictures. Not only that, but the house was clean when I returned! It was such a relief knowing my pets had a companion while I was away.

Rachael is always great and keeps up updated with pictures!

Rachael provided Winnie with excellent care and companionship while we were away for a few days. Winnie cannot wait to have Rachael stay with him again here at home sometime soon!

Rachael was fabulous. Prompt, great communication, responsible, left the house immaculate and our pup loved her. Will definitely contact again and would highly recommend her 🐾👍
