I am a certified small animal veterinarian from my homeland in Malaysia 🇲🇾. I moved to Germany to do my MBA and currently working as a Senior Consultant at the biggest fashion e-commerce in Europe. I used to own a cat for 11 years. Even though I made this career change, I miss taking care of cats and dogs. I used to babysit for my friends’ dogs and cats during my free time. Feeding, unlimited petting and cuddles, giving / applying medications, injections (vaccinations/ insulin) - subcutaneous or intramuscular.

Noor has taken care of my cats for a couple of times already, for considerable time while I was away. The first time my 2 cats were still not getting along with each other, I had to keep them separate and they were both very stressed. Still, Noor spent time and played with them, sending me pics and videos everyday. I got home to 2 well fed and relaxed cats, and an organized place. It is clear to me that my cats like and feel comfortable around her. I won't hesitate to contact her again when I need a petsitter. I can travel with peace of mind, knowing that my cats are receiving food, water, a clean toilet, and lots of love and entertainment.

I have a full-time job (4 days working from home and 1 day working from the offfice), if I were to take care of your fur babies, this is how I would plan my day. Weekday Routine Morning: When I am working from home, I start my day early with a 30-minute walk for the dog. This will give her/ him exercise and helps me begin my day with some fresh air. For cats, it will be constant petting and playing for 30 minutes too. I would also o the cleaning and feeding. If I am working from the office, I would wake up earlier (1 hour before) and do as I have described earlier. Before leaving the house, I would make sure everything is locked and the my house is safe (windows also open for ventilation). Working from Home: Throughout the day, I take short breaks to check with your pets, provide fresh water, and engage in brief play sessions. Evening: After work, I will spend quality time with your pets, for example a longer walk for your doggo and more interactive playtime for the cat. Weekend: Weekends are dedicated to extended activities, like park visits for the dog and extra playtime for the cat. Incorporating pet care into my routine is fulfilling, ensuring your pets' well-being and providing me with a structured, enjoyable balance between work and personal life. The joy and companionship they bring make all the effort worthwhile.

In My Home: Safety: I ensure my home is pet-proofed by removing hazardous items and securing spaces that could be dangerous. I keep cleaning supplies and small objects out of reach, and I use pet-friendly products to maintain a safe environment. Trust: Building trust with pets involves consistent routines and positive reinforcement. I provide a stable environment where pets feel secure and cared for. Regular feeding times, play sessions, and gentle handling help build this trust. Environment: I create a comfortable and stimulating environment with designated play areas. This ensures pets have spaces to relax and engage in activities that keep them happy and healthy. In a Pet Owner’s Home: Safety: I follow the pet owner's guidelines for maintaining a safe environment, ensuring all potential hazards are addressed. I keep a close watch on the pet, making sure they are safe and secure in their familiar surroundings. Trust: I prioritize clear communication with the pet owner to understand the pet's routine, preferences, and any special needs. This helps in maintaining continuity in care and building trust with both the pet and the owner. Environment: I respect the pet owner’s home and maintain the pet’s usual environment. I ensure their living space is clean, and I follow the owner's instructions for exercise, feeding, and play to provide a consistent and comfortable experience for the pet. This approach ensures pets receive the highest standard of care, whether in my home or their own, focusing on safety, trust, and a positive environment.
A typical day
I believe that exercise and engagement are essential for a happy and healthy pet! As a veterinary professional, I prioritize not only their physical well-being but also their mental stimulation. I will take them for walks every 2-3 hours, exploring nearby parks where they can enjoy fresh air and socialization. Beyond exercise, I love bonding with pets through playtime, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement training to keep them mentally sharp and engaged. Whether it's a game of fetch, interactive puzzle toys, or simply some quality cuddle time, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved under my care.
