Nina works from home, so her schedule is entirely flexible when boarding doggies. She does tend to get booked up, weeks or months ahead, with both pet sitting and boarding. But she does not mind last minute bookings, and if she is able to squeeze you in, she will! Safety, trust & environment

Nina accepts pet-sitting bookings from Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples, etc. She is also willing to travel, up to fifty miles, for an added fee. Nina's Home: Nina lives in a lovely gated community, taking care of her eighty-nine-year-old mother. their home is in the 55+ section of ISLAND PARK VILLAGE—a quiet gated community right on the edge of the Estero Nature Preserve. It's a wonderful place to walk, and dogs love it too. When Nina pet sits in the owner's home, she is respectful, neat and considerate. She will get the mail, water plants, take out garbage and recycling, wash linens she uses and bring in packages. She will leave your home tidy and well kept. Some regular dog-boarders also stay with her mom, Joan, on occasions when Nina is pet sitting and unavailable for boarding. Pet owners are very happy with her mom's care as well, and they feel lucky to have that backup option, as Nina tends to get booked up months ahead (for holidays and weekends, especially). Nina is willing to take to two dogs at a time, as the gated community she lives in (Island Park Village) has a two-dog limit rule. She is also open to booking one dog at a time for clients whose doggies don't get along with other dogs or have special needs, like high anxiety. Exclusive boarding would have an added fee, since she would be turning down other bookings to accommodate the dog's need to be solo. For pet sitting clients, Nina can commit to being present in the home 24-7 for special needs doggies who cannot be left alone at all - for an added fee.

Information Nina M. would like to know about your pet

Nina enjoys all kinds of dogs and is open to caring for any breed of any age. She would need to know if the dog has special needs or emotional issues, in which case she would want to meet the dog first to make sure she understands those needs, as well as to help the dog become comfortable with her. For dogs without special needs, she would not require prior introductions but is open to them, if desired by the owners. Nina would want to know the owner's preferences for specific styles of care. Whatever your needs, she is flexible and happy to accommodate them on a custom-tailored basis. She will ask pertinent questions from the owner prior to booking. She will contact the owner if any further questions arise. She loves making people happy as much as making doggies happy!

A typical day

Nina will treat your pets with great care as if they were her own. She will play with them, cuddle them, bond with them and engage in whatever activities you wish! She is easy to communicate with and will listen attentively to your preferences in order to adjust with any special requests. She will walk in nature and in the beautiful gated community where she lives, located right next to a nature preserve. They can sleep in the bed with her, if desired, and they are allowed on the furniture (and laps) too.

Nina loves dogs, and dogs love her too! As an intuitive, affectionate, playful, and responsible person, she makes friends swiftly with all kinds—from playful to quiet—and including rescue and high-anxiety doggies as well. She has the compassionate ability to attune to each dog's personality through intuitive sensitivity (and thus to custom-tailor her approach). She grew up with dogs and has many friends and family members with dogs for whom she has cared. Nina spent thirty years living mostly in India, where she engaged in volunteer work as a chaplain in a hospital, working with the dying, among other works. She is a freelance editor, writer and poet, working from home and taking care of her 89-year-old mom. Dogs feel comfortable in her presence and bond with her easily. Many have called her a 'dog-whisperer!' You will find her easy communicate with. She has experience with all kinds of dogs, including those with special needs, like separation anxiety, blindness, diabetes, deafness, Cushing's disease, Leukemia, hip issues, ear issues, etc. She is experienced in administering both oral medicines and injections.

Nina is the absolute best!!! She’s very sweet, kind and trustworthy. We received daily updates and our fur babies bonded with her…almost too much 😁 We would recommend her to friends and family. We can’t say enough good things about her!

Nina was great with our 3 FurBabies!! She followed the scheduled we outlined perfectly. We were nervous leaving but Nina sent us lots of pictures of them and we could see that they were very happy. A huge reason for us booking with her in addition to her 5 star ratings was that she was with our dogs the entire 5 days we were gone. She is a very skilled Pet Sitter. I would definitely use her again.
