I am able to customize my daily schedule to your pet's needs, including early mornings or late nights, and everything in between. Because I am lucky enough to care for pets full-time, I can adjust my schedule to my current client's needs, so there's minimal disturbance in their usual routine and pets know what to expect.

I care for pets as if they were my own- including having full conversations with them, silly nick names, rolling on the ground playtime, and taking tons and tons of pics. Whatever the owners expectations are- I am happy to follow through to a T on. I understand that having guests in your home that you rely on to care for your most precious possession is a big role- and it's an honor to be trusted with that responsibility. I usually provide an update or two per day (including a cute photo of course) to let owners know how things are going and how their pet is behaving, and to ask any questions that may arise. I can adjust the frequency of check ins to whatever the owners prefer!

Since I have over 12 years experience in caring for animals through multiple apps and through word of mouth, I've had the pleasure to work with the majority of pets and their individual needs/ personalities, so I am comfortable learning as I go with new families. However it is helpful to know of any unique behaviors or expectations up front to so I can be fully prepared from the start and begin my care up to their standards.
A typical day
I like to ask the owners first if they have a preference on where they like their dog walked. If not, I judge based on age/ ability as to pace and distance for walks. If I am walking a young, energetic pup, I will try to jog a bit and really go for distance to get some of that energy out. If I am walking a senior dog, I know to not rush them and let them show me how quickly or far they would like to go. Overall, I think just paying close attention to the dog's individual needs is the best bet.

Hola! Soy Niki y me mude a Espana en 2024. Ahora, vivo la mitad del ano en España y la otra mitad en USA. Estoy en España hasta septiembre 2026. Hi there! Since moving to CO in 2017, that I have become a full-time pet caretaker! Currently, providing pet care & house sitting is my full time gig, so I am able to spend the majority of time with your fur baby at home, instead of working a traditional 9-5 out of the house. When I'm not here in CO during the summer, I actually live in Malaga, Spain teaching English at a local high school. So when I'm here in Colorado- I'm really able to be here for your pets- and give them reliable and loving care that only comes second to their family's :) Because I am currently unable to have pets of my own, I genuinely enjoy working with each animal I am trusted to care for. Young or old, energetic or a couch potato, I love working with all types of personalities and will customize care to each individual, whether that includes 6 walks a day or serious snuggles on the couch, whatever your pet prefers is what I will happily provide! I am truly passionate about being a fur friend caretaker and have the experience to where I feel comfortable with the whole compass of pets, temperaments and needs. I know I have the best job in the world so I take my responsibilities seriously and enjoy every minute of it. Thank you for trusting me with your loved one!

Nikki sat with our dog at our home. Our dog suffers from separation anxiety, but she was great with Nikki. They played together, and our dog was able to relax and sleep. Nikki arrived a little early to meet us and our dog. During her stay, she sent us updates with photos. Nikki is very kind and helpful, and it's obvious she genuinely loves animals. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely book with her again next time.

Nuestro perro es de buen corazón, pero no confía fácilmente y ha desarrollado reactividad hacia muchas cosas, incluidas las personas. Nos sorprendió muchísimo lo bien que funcionó la primera vez que nos conocimos. Estamos ilusionados de que Nikki siga cuidando de Kiwi para poder tener más flexibilidad.
Nikki was fabulous with our little Ludwig! We were gone for 9 days and he's a 14-year-old dog, so it wasn't an easy ask, but she was kind and gracious with him, and he seemed to have a great time with her (he's an excellent judge of character)! We will definitely be using her again in the future!
