Safety, trust & environment
I believe that animals can be frightened when their humans are gone and a new person is around. The best way that I have found to ease the anxiety is to just be present and talk with them, a lot. Some animals just want company, but at a distance. Others, well there is a reason we all have laps, right! Safe treats are always a nice surprise and respect should be given. Sometimes slow and steady is the best practice while other times playing fetch, walks or even sitting and petting works. While boarding with me I make sure to include them in everything I do, like wandering in my very large backyard, playing in the garden, cooking, things like that. I adapt to the animal and work hard at making sure they don’t get lonely, bored or sad. Pets are family in my book!

Information Nancy G. would like to know about your pet
Personality, medication requirements, are they potty trained, do they get along with other animals. Oh and can they sleep in the bed or be on furniture.
A typical day
Take them on walks, play fetch, even car rides if needed. I wander my back yard that has large trees and a ditch to see what smells they can pick up while talking to them. I spend a lot of time with the animals cause it brings me joy.

Pet care experience
I have taken care of pets all my life. I have experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, etc.. I have experience in potty training and command training as well as medicine administration. What sets me apart from others is that I PROMISE to treat your animal with love and respect and keep them safe while you are away. I think it’s important that people leave their animals in a safe environment and with someone that genuinely cares about their well being, I AM that person.

Reviews

Such an amazing dog sitter, consistently send pictures/check ins and takes amazing care of my sweet girl. Her dog Pepper has the perfect amount of energy for my dog.

Nancy always does a wonderful job with Jasper.
Nancy did a great job watching our older, sensitive dog! She worked hard to make our dog feel comfortable. When I picked our dog up, she seemed very well cared for and content.

Nancy was awesome! Took great care of my dog and sent plenty of pics and videos during my trip!
