Availability
I work in an office 4 days a week, so am available in the evenings + nights Tuesday-Friday for walks, drop in pet sitting, and anything else I can help with. My weekends, Friday night through Monday night, are open for hanging out with pet pals— whether that looks like a half hour walk around the neighborhood, a long hike nearby, pet sitting for cats, or boarding at my place for dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home: Dogs staying at my home get lots of attention, supervised outdoor time, and a cozy environment. I have a large yard (unfenced, so we use 50ft long lines to ensure security + freedom), go on multiple walks a day (with or without my dog Pippin), and sometimes go on weekend hikes if your dog is cool with car rides or if specifically requested. I keep a consistent routine, offer safe enrichment activities, and always prioritize your dog’s comfort and well-being. In your home: When caring for cats (or other pets) in your home, I respect your space and routines. I keep things tailored to your pet’s needs, whether that’s playtime, medication, or just some chill companionship. I’ll always communicate clearly and provide regular updates so you can relax knowing they’re safe and cared for. 💕

Information Miranda H. would like to know about your pet
What’s your pet’s favorite activity? Any allergies or medical conditions? Any reactivity? I have experience working with reactive dogs, but I’d love to hear about their triggers/thresholds/routines ahead of time so we can make sure everyone has the best experience possible. 😌
A typical day
I match the pace of your dog! For lower energy dogs, that might look like a mellow walk, some rounds of fetch or tug— whatever their favorite way to hang out is (let me know!). For our higher energy pals… as someone who lives with a high energy dog, I know the importance of ensuring they have the physical and mental stimulation they need. That can look like a long rambling walk, a hike in the woods, playing outside (fetch? frisbee? “find it”?), and puzzle and training games. I also have some basic agility equipment if they’re into that!

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Miranda! I’ve been caring for pets for 15+ years, whether that’s dogs, cats, rabbits… even a bearded dragon or two. I share my home with a very clever Aussie (Pippin!) and a small cat queen named Eleanor. I have experience working with reactive dogs, senior pets, and administering medication to cats and dogs. Whether your buddy needs eye drops, pills, or just a slow, structured routine, I’m patient, calm, and happy to help. 🌱 I use force-free, reward-based methods (in conjunction with clicker training, if desired). I move at your dog’s pace whether we’re building confidence with a new puppy, burning off energy on a weekend hike, or keeping things lowkey for a mellow senior. I believe in meeting each animal with gentleness, curiosity, and a sense of humor because let’s be honest… pets are weird and wonderful, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😌 I offer: - Dog walks on evenings, or all day Sat-Mon - Dog boarding in my home on weekends 🏠 - Weekend hiking adventures for dogs who love to move 🌲 - Pet sitting for cats 💕 Whether your pet is anxious, high-energy, or just needs someone who respects their routine (and quirks!), I’m here for them and for you! ✨ Big dogs, small cats, and everything in between.

She has been amazing Mira loves going there and hanging out with her dog and she communicates and sends lots of pictures

She was amazing Mira had so much def would love for Mira to go again

Miranda was wonderful! She took on our cats very last minute and they warmed to her far more than most. Her calm presence really helped our skittish babies feel safe. Her photo updates captured their quirks well and I was assured by both her competence and kindness that they would be well cared for!
Miranda is a wonder! She has great energy and our full-sized wheatendoodle has never been so engaged with another person. Miranda not only took him on long walks at parks and on trails, she made the walks challenging and interesting. Finn loves their time together and Miranda was so good at communicating with us and connecting with Finn that we asked her to keep him during our last vacation. Game changer. She followed our instructions about his eating schedule, gave him plenty of exercise, and kept us updated throughout our holiday. Finnigan is high energy and constantly challenging authority. He is a lot for most people…even his daycare folks, so it was refreshing to see Miranda with our sweet fur baby. Her calm authority and mindfulness with Finn makes leaving him with her one of our best decisions. He gets extra socialization and exercise when I have to work on weekends and I don’t feel bad because I know he’s with Miranda. I can’t recommend her enough!
