Pet care is a central and joyful part of my daily life here in Jackson Hole. Because I operate a flexible, home-based business, I spend the majority of my day with the dogs in my care. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, regular exercise, individualized attention, and consistent companionship throughout each stay. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I accept so that every guest receives the highest level of care, supervision, and comfort. Unlike many traditional boarding environments, dogs staying at Barron's Leash spend their time in a private residence where their daily routine, well-being, and happiness remain the priority. Whether your dog enjoys outdoor adventures, leisurely walks, wildlife watching from the window, or simply relaxing indoors, every stay is tailored to their individual personality and needs.

From there, the day unfolds based on what your dog enjoys most. For some guests, that means exploring local trails and open spaces. For others, it's a leisurely walk, supervised yard time, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing in a calm and comfortable environment. Throughout the day, dogs receive individualized attention, regular exercise, companionship, and plenty of opportunities to rest and recharge. Some thrive on adventure, while others prefer a slower pace. My job is to recognize those differences and tailor each experience accordingly. Whether your companion is an energetic explorer or a professional couch cuddler, every stay is designed to provide the perfect balance of activity, comfort, stimulation, and security.

I grew up with them, have owned and trained German Shorthaired Pointers (GSPs), and have spent years developing advanced handling, recall, and obedience skills in real-world environments. Beyond boarding and pet care, I have trained hunting dogs, worked extensively with e-collar recall training, and successfully guided my own dog, Char, through AKC agility testing. This hands-on experience has given me a deep understanding of canine behavior, communication, drive, and temperament across a wide range of breeds and personalities. As founder of Barron's Leash and one of Jackson Hole's top-rated Rover sitters, I've hosted hundreds of successful boarding nights for local families, second-home owners, and visitors to Jackson Hole. Unlike traditional boarding facilities, I accept only one client family at a time and focus on individualized care in a secure private residence. Whether your dog prefers mountain adventures, long walks, wildlife watching from the window, or simply relaxing in a calm environment, every stay is tailored to their individual needs. This guy is good!
Cannot say enough how awesome Mike is! Our 2 dogs had never had a sitter before and we were anxious about leaving them with someone for the first time. No need to worry with Mike; his place is comfortable, he has a great animal vibe from the get-go, and the dogs immediately felt at home. He took them for park and trail walks every day, sent lots of photos during their stay, was super responsive to inquiries and messages, very flexible with pick up and drop times… absolutely worth every penny! We will definitely be back and book with Mike again!
Mike is a phenomenal dog sitter. My only regret is that he doesn’t live close to me, which means, I need another vacation to Jackson! We dropped off Alila for a few hours so we could enjoy whitewater rafting and in that time, Alila met a young deer, went on a hike and saw horses! She also played a lot of fetch with a ball, frisbee and a soccer ball in Mike’s huge yard! I’m so lucky I found Mike and I can’t wait to bring her back!
