** Recently moved to Taos! ** Hi! I’m Mikayla. I’ve been caring for pets through Rover for over five years and have maintained all five-star reviews along the way. Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember—from dogs and cats to reptiles, farm animals, and just about everything in between. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, sticking to a specific routine, or simply providing a calm and reassuring presence, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I genuinely love meeting new animals and building relationships with both pets and their people. Your pets can make themselves at home at our place! They will also have plenty of outside time and lots of exercise as my husband and I are both very active. I have a pretty good understanding of animal behavior and body language, but please let me know if your pet needs any accommodations around behavior so I can keep everyone safe and happy 😊

Five stars for Mikayla. She stayed with our two goldens, Gracie and Goose. She was prompt, flexible, and communicative the entire time; I never once wondered how the dogs were doing. She rolled with a setup that isn't exactly a typical house-sit and made it easy. Her love for animals really shines through, and Gracie and Goose clearly felt it. We look forward to booking Mikayla on our next visit to Taos!
Mykala was awesome. The boys loved her. She’s very responsible and came out early to meet them one on one. I highly recommend her.
Mikayla was absolutely wonderful! She stayed with our two dogs, Lona, Oso, and even my friend’s dog (who was in town helping me with this event). She came to keep the dogs company while we worked an event for the evening and I felt completely at ease knowing they were with her. She was so sweet and attentive with all three of them, spent the evening hanging out with them, and even took the whole crew on a walk! They all absolutely loved her. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can trust with my dogs and would 100% book Mikayla again. Highly recommend!

We are so grateful to Mikayla, and are so glad we found her. 😊 She took great care of our two pups while we were out and about, and our youngest dog is a rescue who is afraid of most people, but seems to have warmed up to her quickly. Would definitely use her in the future.
Mikayla was easy to work with and took good care of Lulu. We appreciate you and use you again if you are back in the area.

Schedule
I have a high energy dog named Sienna, and when I’m not working I’m spending time with her outside, going on walks or playing. My schedule varies from day to day, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ask if I have the availability that you might need.

- Let me know if your dog has any special needs, such as medications or dietary restrictions. I also like to know your if dog has any preferences or quirks (like, he gets nervous around cars or she doesn’t get along with other dogs) just so I can maintain comfort and safety during our time together :) Please also let me know of any behavioral issues, if any. If boarding/doggy day care please let me know if you’d be comfortable with me taking your pet out on walks with other dogs who I might be scheduled to walk during that time, or how long your pet can be left alone so I have adequate time for everyone :)
