Two Dog Lovers, One Happy Home! 🐾
Both myself and Alec have grown up with family dogs and have loved being around dogs for as long as we can remember. We became dog owners ourselves nearly a year ago and have put a lot of time into training and socialising our dog, which has taught us so much about caring for dogs and understanding their individual needs! 💕 We have also been trusted many times with friends / family members pets when they've needed looking after. We know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet, and we'll make sure your dog receives plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and care while they're with us. 🦴

My one year old cocker spaniel had a fabulous 10 days with Mikayla and Alec! Mikayla arranged a meet and greet to check he would get on with their dog Susan and wanted to know his routine, likes, dislikes etc so she would know how to care for him. He was treated like one of the family and got on with Susan brilliantly. Mikayla kept me updated with frequent photos so I knew he was getting on well. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mikayla to anyone looking for a boarder who will care for your dog like their own 🐶
Honestly would rate Mikayla higher if I could! I booked very last minute due to kennel cancellation the day before I was flying abroad! Mikayla met me and my dog Luna for a quick meet and greet and all went so well with both Luna and her dog Susan. Luna is a Weimaraner and is naturally a nervous dog but she took to them very quickly. I received beautiful pictures and updates during her weekend stay and felt so relaxed knowing Luna was being looked after and loved while I was away. I will 100% use Mikayla in the future and would highly recommend her services.
I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to look after their dog. My dog absolutely loves staying with her and always comes home happy and tired after all the lovely woodland walks! It’s nice knowing she has Susan, her black Lab, to play with—they get on so well and it’s clear they have a great time together. It’s such a relief leaving her somewhere I know she’s happy, well looked after and excited to go back to. Thank you again for taking such great care of her! 🐾
Mikayla and Alec have looked after our dogs multiple times and theres no-one i would trust more with our pets. They treat them with so much love and our dogs always have the best time with them (especially playing with their adorable and lovely dog Susan). I highly recommend Alec & Mikayla to anyone🐾
I was so lucky to have Mikayla as my neighbour. Mikayla & Alec would take care of my beloved Frenchie Ollie any time I needed help and he absolutely adored them to bits. Mikayla is such a lovely person and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her to anyone who needs help looking after their dog! Thank you for everything Mikayla, we miss you!
We have used Mikayla to look after our two dogs a Rhodesian ridgeback and a pointer x when we have been on holiday. I would 100% recommend Mikayla to look after your pets - my dogs love her and we found her to be very professional, friendly and trustworthy.

Schedule
Pet care is already a big part of our daily routine. We have a much loved 1 year old Black Labrador who is walked every weekday at around 7am and 6pm, with a more flexible schedule at weekends. Welcoming another dog into our home would fit naturally into our existing routine and lifestyle. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will have plenty of company, supervision, and attention throughout the day. On the rare occasions when I am not working from home, I simply won't make myself available for bookings, as I believe dogs should not be left alone for extended periods while in my care. We understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and we will care for your dog as if they were our own, ensuring they receive plenty of exercise, stimulation and cuddles 🥰

Safety, trust & environment
We provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every dog in our home. At our home, dogs have access to a very large, fully fenced garden where they can play, explore, and exercise safely. Inside, we have plenty of dog friendly spaces and furniture where they can relax and feel at home 🏡 We follow each dog's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, training, and any specific care requirements. Our own Labrador is friendly, well socialised, and enjoys having canine companions to play with! As I work from home full time, dogs in our care receive lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. We understand that every dog is different, so we take the time to get to know their personality and needs to ensure they feel happy, secure, and well cared for during their stay. 🐶

A typical day
We live very near an enclosed field leading to Pamber Forest where we go most days! I do a lot of scent training with our dog and she is always ready for an off lead snifari. 🥲
