I have grown up with dogs and cats and have always loved animals! The first dog I had of my own was an Australian Shepherd that I raised since she was 8 weeks old. My second dog is a 2 year old Aussie I rescued. She was a breeding momma from a puppy mill. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes! I would love to help your dog get the exercise it needs! I am more than willing to go on walks, runs, and play fetch with your dog.

My goal is to help create a safe and consistent enviroment for your pet while you are away. I will follow all instructions provided to help your pet be as comfortable as possible. I do not board pets in my home, you can count on me to drop in on your pet whenever needed and I am willing to send pictures and updates often!

Mikala came prior to the day needed to meet my fur baby. She was polite, friendly, and eager to make sure my dog was comfortable with her! Mikala followed all instructions of care that was given, and while I was away, she sent photos and updates of Daphne to make sure I knew she was being cared for. I will be using her again in the future!!
I can't think of a better candidate for a Rover dog sitter/walker. Mikala's passions in life are helping people and dogs. Being a Rover dog sitter/walker would be her perfect combination. She is a dog owner herself and is always showing off the tricks she has taught her dogs, the places they have gone together and just the love she has for them. She is also so knowledgeable with dog breeds. I am always amazed at how she can quickly name them when she sees them. She knows all the qualities, quirks, and behaviors of them as well. Part of being a Rover dog sitter/walker is the interaction with the people you are working with. Mikala checks of this box too. Her current job involves a lot of customer service. She is so great with people and she understands their feelings. Having this quality is important because she understands the anxiety pet owners get when they have their dogs in the hands of others. She will know how to put owners at ease not only from her interactions with them but with the quality of her work. Being a pet owner myself there are few people I would trust with watching my own Irish Setter. Mikala is one of those people.

Schedule
I work Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, so during weekdays I plan my pet care around that schedule. I’m available for morning and evening visits, walks, feeding, and quality time, and I can often accommodate overnight stays depending on the pet’s location. I always make sure pets are well cared for and comfortable before and after my work hours. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and availability, which allows me to spend extended time with pets, offer more frequent visits, and provide a more relaxed, attentive routine. Pet care fits naturally into my week, I genuinely enjoy making time for it and ensuring each pet gets consistent, reliable care and attention.
