Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to show up to the client’s house at least once—sometimes more—before I begin petsitting. This allows the pet to be more comfortable with me and it allows me to learn their routine and the procedures to follow to ensure the best experience for the pet.
Information Michael L. would like to know about your pet
The more information I can gather about your pets, the better I can make the experience not only for them, but for you as well. My job is to make sure the pets I watch are as content as possible and that the owner can have the peace of mind knowing that they are receiving the best possible care.
A typical day
I will do whatever activities you request of me, whether that be walking your dog on or off-leash, hikes, swimming in the river, or playing fetch. I enjoy watching cats interact with mouse videos made specially for cats on Youtube as they swipe at "mice" on the screen. If there are additional toys for cats, I will make sure they are utilized daily. Exercising is my favorite thing to do, so stamina is never an issue when it comes to exercising pets.

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and cats since I was born. I can’t have pets where I live so I enjoy taking care of others when the opportunity arises. Since 2017 I've been watching friends’, coworkers’, and neighbors’ pets in Gardiner. My lifetime of growing up with dogs and cats has provided the necessary skills to provide a safe, fun setting to watch others' pets. And let's be honest, they're so much more than "just a dog" or "just a cat." Pets are family and friends.
Reviews

We were staying in Gardiner and booked an all day tour and needed someone to watch our dog. Unfortunately the tour was canceled, but we are giving Michael 5 stars because his communication leading up to the day and managing logistics was excellent. We felt comfortable with him before even meeting him.

Michael was wonderful with our very anxious German shepherd. He stayed with her all day while we were in Yellowstone, which was a huge help! He is very communicative, responsible, and really nice. I highly recommend him, and if we come back to gardiner with our dog, we will certainly use him again!

Mike was the perfect match for our 4 month old puppy. He took her into town for walks since our campground didn't have much "green space". Tess was super happy when we returned home each day. I'm sure she'll be wanting us to leave her "alone" again soon.

Very personable and loved Charley! Timely and took him around town.
