About Me: With over 25 years of experience caring for dogs, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep love for our furry friends. I work from home with a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide your dog with the attention and care they need throughout the day. Home Environment: Our busy, dog-friendly household features our beloved 5-year-old Golden Retriever. Our home is air-conditioned to keep your pup cool and comfortable during the summer months. Certifications: Dog CPR & First Aid - Canadian Red Cross CPS-DW Pet Sitter Certification for Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers - 6 hours of training What I Offer: *Flexible Schedule: As I work from home, I can accommodate various schedules and provide constant companionship and supervision for your dog. *Experienced Care: With over two decades of experience, I am well-versed in understanding and meeting the needs of dogs. *Family Involvement: Your dog will benefit from the additional attention and affection from my children (13 & 16) creating a warm and lively home atmosphere. *Playtime and Socialization: Our Golden Retriever is always ready for playtime, ensuring your dog gets stimulation and social interaction throughout the day. 🌟IMPORTANT🌟 To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please note the following: *House-Trained Dogs Only: I only accept fully house-trained dogs. *Non-Destructive Behaviour: Dogs must be non-destructive. Any excessive accidents or property damage may warrant additional fees. *Separation Anxiety: If your dog has separation anxiety, this must be disclosed before booking. Your dog must be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours to allow me time to run my children to school and sports. If your dog is crate-trained, please bring their crate. Otherwise, I do not use crates. *Aggressiveness, Fleeing & Reactivity: I do not accept dogs that display aggressive behaviours, exhibit dominance, or have a history of running away or escaping. *Activity Level: Dogs with a low to moderate energy level are preferred, as our Golden Retriever doesn’t do well with high-energy dogs. *Belongings: Please bring food, bed/blanket (if they have a favourite), leash, harness (if they have one) favourite toy, and any special treats. *Veterinary contact information must be provided on your dog’s profile before their stay. *In the event of a medical emergency, I will contact a local vet right away. Any vet fees and the Rover Guarantee deductible are the responsibility of the pet owner. *Proof of vaccination must be provided upon first stay. *Kindly ensure that your pet's profile on Rover is complete before submitting a request. This will help me better understand your dog’s personality, activity level, and any specific traits or needs. *A meet and greet is required for all new clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this a positive experience for both your dog and our home. While I will make every effort to accommodate requests, my availability may be limited at times. Additionally, I can accommodate up to two dogs from the same home or two dogs that have a history of getting along well with other dogs in my care.
