I understand how difficult it is to leave your pets with a stranger. I make it a priority to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible while I am caring for your beloved pets in your home. From my experience, most dogs are more at ease in their territory. They feel safe and familiar with their environment. I do not board pets. I also do some training, depending on the need and time. I am located in Crestline, but serve many clients as far as Arrowbear. I believe that my desire to understand animal behavior has strengthened my ability to maintain a safe environment and has increased my skills as a caretaker for pets. Respecting each breed and recognizing their different characteristics is one step closer to establishing a healthy bond. Having many years of experience understanding human behavior has inspired me to focus on the various behaviors animals display. I have taken care of senior dogs, puppies and medically fragile dogs as well . I am certified in dog grooming and training as well as pet CPR.. I'm hyper vigilant about the safety and well being of animals and have decided to devote my life learning more about how I can help to improve these precious lives. I have cared for many dogs, cats, horses, chickens and birds. I make sure and communicate as often as you would like so that you can have a worry-free time away from your pets! I am aware that not all pets have the same needs. I collaborate with pet parents and discuss the needs of each individual animal in order to determine the safest approach during this experience. When I am caring for your pet, I make sure they get enough exercise ( if exercise is part of their routine), bathroom breaks and of course water and food. Some animals may need more/less of my attention. Each pet has individual needs and I discuss this with pet parents and establish a plan in order to meet those needs. I take photo's/video's and send updates to pet parents. Please be aware that my fees will differ than the fees posted, as Rover is factoring in their service fees into the total.

We highly recommend Melanie and expect to use her again. Right away, we determined her to be an animal lover and experienced caregiver. She spent a good amount of time getting aquainted during our pre‐visit and again the day we left for vacation to help our anxious pup adjust. She was flexible, dependable, forthcoming and an effective communicator. She stayed in contact with us throughout the week as well as sending pictures. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing our fur babies were well cared for by Melanie.
She was So great with my two old guys. It’s always an anxious feeling to leave your dogs with a new person and she made me feel confident and comfortable that my dogs were in good hands. Definitely will give her a call the next time !
Melanie was absolutely amazing. She bonded with my 13-year-old yellow lab right away. After a very short time, I realize she was the right person to be looking after my dog captain. I can now return to work. with one less worry. If you want someone that truly cares about your animals Melanie is the right person!
Melanie was great. I needed someone on short notice. She made it very easy. She came over took great care of my girls
Melanie was very responsive and extremely helpful and accommodating with a last minute booking. She took care of our senior cat that required medication twice daily. She was easy to work with and was reasonable with fees.
Melanie was a fabulous pet and house sitter for us. Our dog, Maisy is a one year old pup and was never left with anyone but family. When we came home Maisy was happy, bouncy, well groomed and in love with Melanie. We will use her for every trip in the future! Great job Melanie🤗

Schedule
I work another job part time, but when I am caring for pets, they are my priority. I make sure that I am with them a majority of each day depending on the needs of each pet.
