Pet care experience

Pet sitter looking for clients!

I’ve always been the go-to dog sitter of my neighborhood, ever since I was 15 years old. I have had dogs my entire life and I take great pride in making sure all dogs I take care of have the best care possible. Whether it be a simple walk or an all-day play date, I make sure your puppy has the best possible care! I have a full time job so I mostly am available on weekends or nights to walk and watch your dogs, so if you want a night out on the town and the peace of mind that your dog is having a great time, then look no further! My own dogs are fed on schedule and walked at least twice a day, so rest assured your dogs will be in the best of care! I pay close attention to instructions given, as I know different dogs have different needs. I pay close attention to the signals dogs give when they want to go outside, play, and the like. I am used to caring for skittish dogs and outgoing dogs alike, as my own dogs have taught me the best ways in order to properly handle these situations. I also have experience with cats, birds, rats, guinea pigs, and other pets!

Safety, trust & environment

I make sure that the area is safe for any pets, taking note of anything an energetic dog may get into and making sure to remove it from the area (with clients permission of course). I’m big on safety in animal care and when I walk dogs, I make sure to take alternate routes if I see large animals or animals like foxes etc on the usual path. I plan a few alternate walking routes just in case they are needed, and I make sure the house is secured when we leave and when we come back.

Marissa was lovely. She was kind, dependable and very communicative. She also left our house tidy. We would have her back in our home to watch our dogs and cat anytime.

Marissa made sure Winnie was taken care of and she communicated regularly, sending photos and updates. Winnie seemed very happy and comfortable with Marissa since day 1 at our meet and greet. She’s a natural!

Marissa shared lots of photos and updates, which made me feel very comfortable leaving my cat with her for the week. She and meko also obviously get along well, which is really nice.

Schedule

I work a full time job, but I make sure that all pets are well taken care of and walked before and after I go to work. When I can, during my meal breaks I tend to check on the animals and take them for another quick walk as well or a quick play session so they don’t get bored. I grew up with dogs so dog care has always been a part of my routine, and I make sure to feed the animals at the usual times and take them on walks, as well as give any medications needed on time. Punctuality is a huge deal for me in dog care.

If your dog needs medication, has anxiety with people or other dogs, or has any health issues, I would like to know prior so I can get the information needed to give them the proper care. The more detail the better, as I want to make sure your dog is in the best of care.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
