Being around animals = 😍😍😍
While I didn’t grow up around many friends and family with pets, in my adult life (past 5+ years), I’m around animals constantly and am always taking care of my friends’ and family members’ pets. I have experience with puppies (I lived with a golden retriever puppy for over a year giving her around the clock care and attention) and adult dogs of various breeds. I’m super patient with animals and while I’m not the cuddliest person with other humans, I am all about cuddling animals all the time. I feel really comfortable taking instructions about specific needs of each animal (I.e. When and where they typically go to the bathroom, things they enjoy or don’t enjoy, etc.). I have a cat now and while I love her to death, I’d love to have more time around dogs (and other animals) more frequently since I’m not yet ready to be a dog mom myself. Mostly work from home and am always flexible to rearrange any social outings around what is needed for the pet. In general, my schedule is flexible. I’ve watched pets in my apartment a ton of times and it’s always good. I have a cat but she mostly does her own thing.

Marisa has been our dog sitter for years and Dunkin is still absolutely obsessed with her. She is so flexible with our schedule, takes him places so he’s not alone at home, and always responds immediately. Most recently, we got married and Dunkin was apart of our big day so we had to coordinate with her and Dunkin’s “wedding day dog taxi” to pick up and drop off and again, Marisa was so kind, flexible, and eager to help. A typical day
I love any excuse to leave the house so when I’m watching a dog it gives me the perfect excuse to go on a longer walk, explore different parks, and anything to keep the dog entertained since it will usually be the highlight of my day to be hanging with a pup! There is a park across from my apt that people bring their dogs to a lot and is super convenient for frequent visits.

- It’s important to know if they’re skiddish or uncomfortable with certain things so I can make sure to avoid that. It’s also great to know what they tend to enjoy especially when at a park so I can do those things. Do they play fetch? Do they try eating all of the sticks that you have to be mindful of distracting them from? Do they take frequent breaks on walks? Those types of things are important and their general demeanor so I know if they’re acting out of sorts.
