I’m a huge animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and fish! I previously worked as a camp counselor at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I supervised groups of 30+ dogs of all sizes and personalities. I have experience feeding, bathing, cleaning up after pets, and administering medications that don’t require needles. I also have plenty of hands-on experience caring for cats and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I love getting to know each animal and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away. Because I have pets of my own, I’m unable to care for animals in my home, but I’m happy to stay in your home or make drop-in visits to care for your beloved family members. 🐾

Currently I can't watch other animals in my home because I have two cats of my own and a GSD! All 3 of my animals are spoiled rotten! They have so many toys, tons of playtime, and the best of the best quality food and treats! I love my animals like my children, I even had a puppy shower for my new puppy! (Ask me for photos, and I will show you lol!) It's important to me, that your fur baby is comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. I will try my best to mimic your pet's schedule and keep them feeling pawsitively happy!

Great experience!! Marisa just finished several days of daily drop-ins for my three precious brother cats. They had the same sitter for almost nine years in TX, but we moved back to NY and did not have anyone here yet for nearly two years. I was so nervous about having a new sitter because our cats require so much TLC and laptime, and so one of us always stayed behind with them. I knew the moment I walked in from our trip, that the kitties were calm and happy. Marisa gave them so much TLC and kept me informed daily with photos and reports about how well they were adjusting. Marisa is truly an animal person, and I could see how they naturally took to her right away. She was thorough and confident with instructions and care, and she reassured me that they would be in good hands!!! Very true and very happy to share that!!
Marisa did an excellent job taking care of my dog who is older and needs more attention. I would absolutely use her again in the future!

Marisa is the best! Hands down the first person I call to take care of my doggos. She goes above and beyond taking care of their basic needs (food, water,walks etc) and takes them time to give them love, attention and treats! Not only that, but she’s hyper-vigilant of other dogs and animals while on walks and checks the gates before letting them out in our back yard. She cares for my dogs like her own and they’re more excited to see her walk through the door than me or my husband sometimes. I know I won’t have to worry about them in the care of Marisa.

Schedule
I'm currently working as a 8th-grade English teacher in the Rockland County area from 9:00-3:40. I'm lucky enough to have awesome work hours that allow me to take care of pets as needed!
