Pet care experience

I have been a dog walker, sitter and a home boarding provider for 7 years. I also have experience with horses, goats, chickens and cats. I have taken care of senior dogs, large breed dogs, puppies and adolescents. I volunteered at an animal shelter where I took many dog handling workshops. I have a Fear Free a fear free positive reinforcement, partnership based, compassionate tuning in approach when walking or otherwise interacting with animals. I strive to meet the physical and emotional needs of animals through attention, affection, exercise, play and enrichment activities. I offer weekly and Monthly discounted rates for all my services. Note that I can’t accepts sittings that are more than 45 minutes away from my home unless I can bring my cat along!

Maria was great with Harry. Took him for a swim and a hike. We felt safe and comfortable leaving our pup in her care.

Maria was wonderful to work with and really helped us out when we had to go to Canada for the day and couldn’t bring our dog Grover with us. He had a blast with Maria and her dog Lalo, going on walks, playing in a nearby stream and hanging out in her home.

Maria did an excellent job watching our dog. She provided updates throughout the stay, photos to ease my worry, and her communication was great. My dog is normally so stressed when we take him to stay with other people, but having Maria stay in our home with him allowed us to come home to our dog totally stress free. It was such a relief!

Maria is a fantastic sitter. She watch over our two dogs and three reptiles while we were out for a week. She sent photo updates and let us know about the health of or animals. I highly recommend her!

Availability

I currently work from home so I have the flexibility to devote full time care for the animals that I board and sit for. I do have to leave on occasion for short periods of time, so if your dog feels more comfortable and calm in their crate when you leave them alone , please provide it for their stay with me. If your dog has separation anxiety and can’t be left alone for any amount of time, please let me know ahead of time.
