Information Lydia R. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know if your pets are reactive to anything, whether it be children, men, other dogs, if they have a high prey drive etc. Any past medical history or injuries your pet has had. Whether they are extremely routine dependant. Any food allergies or another dogs in the area and also people that they know.

A typical day

I think its important to stimulate dogs mentally as well as physically, I take care in the breed of dog I am looking for an each breed has different requirements. I believe that breed fulfilment is really important and I have the tools and knowledge to do that

Pet care experience

I have grown up with dogs my whole life, caring for neighbours dogs, dogs of family friends and my own dog. I know a lot of information about a lot of different breeds of dogs due to my 7 year old obsession with them and reading possibly every dog book known to man. I am capable and have experience in handling any dog of any size. I live in a quiet cul de sac which has many country walks going in very direction. I have looked after old dogs, deaf dogs, puppies and rescue dogs. I’ve administered medication and I’ve had to give 24/7 hour care before to a young dog that had come out of the vets after a series of operations. I have completed two canine behaviour training courses and a canine first aid and CPR course.

Lydia looked after mine and sisters dog while we were abroad for two weeks. Luther being a 6 month boisterous rescue puppy and Tilly a cockerpoo. Lydia was fantastic from start to finish, excellent communication and great care of our pooches. We received updates and photos which was a lovely touch and put our minds at rest. They both came back calm and happy and tired from all the fabulous walks they had been on. Highly recommended.

We went to see Lydia with Harvey before his stay, and was reassured he would be fine. There are stairs up to the main living area in the house, and as Harvey is 16 now, needs carrying up stairs, which Lydia was happy to do. He was clean, fed, walked & happy when we picked him up. We'd happily use Lydia again, and would recommend her.

We contacted Lydia through the Dog-buddy after reading the reviews and wanting to use someone local to look after Murphy, our rescue dog. From first contact Lydia has been great. We were able to take Murphy to check where he would be staying and from speaking to Lydia, were confident he would be ok for our time away. Lydia said she would keep us regularly updated on Murphy's stay however this was not possible in our case as we were abroad. On return to collect Murphy, he looked settled and we felt he had enjoyed his stay. Thanks again Lydia, we would definitely bring Murphy to you again.
