Experienced Cat Sitter & Boarding
I grew up with pets and gained lots of experience fostering kitties with Astoria Cat Rescue and Ready for Rescue. I know that every cat is different, and all kitties deserve love, patience, and understanding. My own cat, Junior, is a rescue who came from an abusive home. It took years and lots of patience to earn his trust, but he is now a totally spoiled love bug! Playing with cats and giving them treats is the fun part, but I also understand that the sitting or boarding can be overwhelming for some cats. They can be very stressed and anxious when their humans are not with them, or if they are in a new environment. I will not be spooked by the occasional hiss and I can read cat body language well enough to know when they need cuddles for comfort or more space to feel safe. I will keep your kitty comfortable and safe during their stay or visit!

Lena was a great cat sitter for the few days we were out of town and provided good detailed updates. She played with our outgoing cat and shared some fun photos of playtime. Our shy cat wasn't eating his wet food and I really appreciated her genuine concern.

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible to care for your fur baby! I am available weekdays and weekends; afternoons and early evening is best. I am not able to accommodate requests before 8am.

Safety, trust & environment
For boarding cats, I will use our guest bedroom in order to keep them separated from our resident kitty. Please note, for boarding cats rate listed is the MINIMUM fee. If you cat has special needs or if you need specific accommodations, add-ons will be billed accordingly. The standard fee include per day includes: - 1 day of boarding in a safe, quiet environment - 1.5 hours of attention and care (includes feeding, litter scooping, play, pets, etc) - Drop off and pick up coordination You MUST bring your own food, litter, carrier etc. If you do not bring your own supplies, you will be billed for any materials I provide. The following is NOT included in a standard boarding and will result in additional fees: - Any significant damage to the apartment directly resulting from the stay - Accidents that require extra clean up for the cat and / or apartment - Additional one-on-one attention beyond the 1.5 hours included Please do not request a boarding if your cat has spraying issues or is not litter box trained.

A typical day
For boarding cats, I will use our guest bedroom in order to keep them separated from our resident kitty. For drop in visits at a clients home, I will adjust care according to your instructions. I am experienced in socialization, pet introductions, and administering medication.
