If you're looking to keep your animals comforted & happy & secure at home, I provide affectionate, loving, engaging companionship and full time care for all of your pets, typically for the same daily fee. I never care for more than one family of pets at a time, so my rates are set accordingly. As a past veterinary assistant I'm experienced in administering medications, subcutaneous injections, fluids, post surgical recovery, wound care & special diets. I keenly observe all pets for any signs of developing illness, skin problem, or injury. (If I see something existing & mention it to you, please know that I am never criticizing; it's simply what I do, and I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention something I've noticed.) If you are already aware of a health or behavior issue that might be concerning, please bring it to my attention. -- I've been caring for animals my whole life...They are our babies, our hearts and our souls. Dscovering each pet's unique personality and what makes them most happy and comfortable brings me joy and a sense of giving. Targeted Puppy training and house breaking services available.

We are so grateful to have found Leigha! It is obvious she adores dogs and she did such an amazing job taking care of our 3 high maintenance pups, taking the extra time to make sure each of their individual needs are met. She also left our home just as she found it (if not better) which is such a nice added bonus! Leigha watched over our two cats for two weeks and she did a great job. She had no shortage of chores to keep her busy (getting the mail, watering plants, etc.), and she also had to stay on top of giving one of our cats daily medicine. She was super organized and handled everything with ease. We also appreciated the frequent updates and pictures. She also tidied up the apartment before we returned, which was great. Would definitely recommend.
It was so hard for me to trust a stranger with my precious boi but Leigha made it easy when I was away. She showed up a half hour early and waited in her car to make sure she was on time since I had an early flight. She sent tons of pics and videos and gave me wonderful tips and feedback from all her experience with dogs. This showed how much interest and attention she had on my little man. Most importantly, my baby loved her which was apparent in all the videos. He wasn’t stressed at all when I got home but he slept hard the next day which means he was stimulated. I feel very lucky to have found Leigha.
Leigha took wonderful care of our cat and our home! She sent daily videos, photos and texts of our fur baby. She came over for a meet and greet ahead of the stay, and asked lots of questions to ensure our cat would be happy and comfortable. She practiced putting him on a leash (not everyone walks their cat!) and took him out for a stroll. We really appreciated her attention to detail. She only sits for one family at a time so she could give her full attention to our cat. We could relax on vacation knowing she was spending the night and caring for our kitty. Thanks, Leigha!

Schedule
Caring for your pets, and your home, is my primary responsbility, and I am onsite except for occassional appointments or other errands which would be mentioned ahead of time. I am non-smoking and no drugs.

Safety, trust & environment
I insist that my clients be present when I arrive for first time bookings, as it's important for your animals to feel that I've been invited into their home with your trust and approval (even if it's at 4:00am -- no problem! :-)) My yard has only a 4' chainlink fence -- so I'm unable to accommodate jumpers, escape artists or diggers at my home.
Pets
A typical day
Light walks, Romping and tugging, playing ball, cuddling and relaxing, connection and interaction, light treat training. I'm fine with pets sleeping on the bed as well. Unfortunately I'm not currently able to take dogs for long walks, nor runs.
