Leeds Dog Sitter – Home All Day
Cats are my speciality, but I'm also happy to look after friendly, soft, playful dogs. I'll be upfront: this is my first time sitting through Rover, and I'm new to professional dog sitting. I've had dogs in my life for years, living with and helping care for my mum's and mother-in-law's dogs day to day, including feeding, routines and looking after them when the family was away. I'm calm and relaxed with the right kind of dog. I'm new to the platform, not the responsibility. I'm looking for the daft, affectionate ones who think every person they meet is their new best friend, want endless cuddles and fuss, and will lick you to bits. A great fit if your dog is: Up to about 15kg Sociable, gentle and people-loving Playful, affectionate and happy to be fussed Comfortable with handling and being left for short periods Fine around cats Breeds that are typically a great match: Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Bichons, Pugs and similar. Not a fit for: larger or strong dogs, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Huskies, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Pit Bull types, Jack Russells and Chihuahuas, or similar breeds and crosses. Also dogs with reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety or a bite history, and young puppies. Dog care is at your home only. Visits cover feeding, toilet breaks in the garden, play and plenty of cuddles. I don't offer walks. I work from home, so I'm genuinely available throughout the day. I follow your routines and instructions exactly, and I'm happy to send updates and photos. I drive, so if a vet visit is ever needed, I can take your dog to your regular vet. A free meet and greet is required before any dog booking, so you can see how your dog and I get on. There's no obligation on either side if it isn't the right match.

Safety, trust & environment
When visiting your home, I treat it with the same care and respect as my own. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, medication and routine, keep your home secure while I'm there, and always lock up properly when I leave. I'm comfortable administering oral medication if needed. My own home is smoke-free and allergy-free, though I don't offer boarding, purely to protect my own cat's safety and routine. If your pet needs a vet visit while you're away, I'll always try to contact you first. If I can't reach you, I'll get vet advice and take them to your regular vet if necessary (I drive, so this isn't an issue). I'd just ask that payment for any vet costs is arranged with you in advance, since I'm not able to cover these upfront myself.

Schedule
As I work from home full-time as a freelancer, I have flexibility throughout the day to fit in visits at times that suit your pet's routine, whether that's a morning feed, a lunchtime check-in, a toilet break or an evening visit. I'm not tied to a 9-5, so timing can be adjusted around what your pet is used to. I generally prefer some advance notice, but I'm also happy to help at short notice if you've been let down by another sitter.

- Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviours I should account for, such as feeding routines, medication, or if they're anxious or shy. For dogs, please also tell me how they are with strangers and other animals, whether they have a garden to use, and anything that sets them off. I'm happy to accommodate all of it. I understand most pets just need patience and consistency to settle with someone new. So whether your pet is instantly friendly or takes a while to warm up, I'm happy to work at their pace, not mine.
