Hi, I'm Lauryn. I've always loved animals and feel most at home when I'm surrounded by nature. I grew up in Somerset with cats, rabbits and chickens, and I've had dogs for most of my adult life. These days I live in Cardiff, where I can enjoy everything from beaches and forests to mountains and countryside walks. I work remotely, which gives me a great deal of flexibility and allows me to provide reliable care for pets throughout the week. I spend most of my free time outdoors, so I can tailor my care to suit your pet's personality and needs. Whether your dog would love a long countryside hike, a beach walk, or simply some company and cuddles on the sofa, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. I have experience with a wide range of dog personalities. My previous dog was a rescue terrier who preferred her own space and wasn't particularly fond of other dogs or strangers, so I understand the importance of respecting boundaries and recognising when a dog needs a calm, quiet environment. Before any booking, I like to arrange a call or meet-and-greet so we can discuss your pet's routine, preferences, and any important dos and don'ts. I want to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and well cared for. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting and overnight stays, and I'm happy to discuss longer bookings where needed. I have a full UK driving licence and my own car, so I can travel. I also have my own dog, Clover, a friendly Labrador cross who weighs around 20kg. She's well-trained, calm and very respectful of other dogs. If appropriate, she can accompany me on walks or house sits to provide some canine companionship; she's used to spending time with friends' and family members' dogs and is happy to play when invited, or give them space if they prefer to be left alone. I also care for cats and other small pets. For cat visits, I attend alone, as I believe your cat should feel relaxed and secure in their own environment without the disruption of another animal entering their space. Schedule
I work remotely, Monday to Friday, which gives me a lot of flexibility and means I can plan my day around the needs of the pets I'm caring for rather than being away from home for long periods. I have my own dog, Clover, so my days already revolve around walks, feeding, training and playtime, we usually head out for at least 2/3 walks a day, with longer adventures at weekends exploring beaches, countryside trails and local parks. Throughout the week, I can provide walks, drop-in visits, and companionship, while evenings and weekends allow for longer walks, house-sitting, and overnight stays.

When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your instructions on feeding, walks, medication, sleeping arrangements and any house rules they are used to. Before any booking, I'll discuss your pet's routine, personality, triggers and preferences so I can provide care that is tailored to them. For dog walks, I only let dogs off lead where owners have confirmed it is appropriate and safe to do so. I am experienced with dogs who are nervous, reactive or prefer their own space. I have a full UK driving licence and my own car, allowing me to travel to different locations and access a variety of suitable walking routes. I always carry water on longer walks and adjust activities to suit the weather, age and fitness level of the dog. If Clover, my friendly Labrador cross, accompanies me on a walk or house sit, this will only be with the owner's agreement and if I believe the dogs are a good match. She is calm, well-socialised and respectful of other dogs' boundaries. For cat visits and small pet care, I focus on maintaining their normal routine, providing fresh food and water, cleaning where needed, and spending time with them in a way that suits their personality—whether that's playtime, affection or simply quiet company. If you are away I can keep you updated with pics and videos, as well as letting you know how they ate so you can be reassured while enjoying some you time
