Almost Like Home Services

Laurie is an RN, previous Vet Tech, and has over 30 years of experience with dogs including working with rescues and fostering. Working from home allows constant supervision and only 1 - 2 family's pets are boarded at any given time so individual attention is guaranteed. We have a 10 acre farm with lots of room to run! We have our own private walking trails along with a safe fenced in area attached to our home. During the warmer weather, they will hang out in the garden with me or roam the property. We also have a stable with dwarf Nigerian goats and chickens that sometimes will be visited by our guests for some active play :). As always, your dog will be treated like our own "house pet" and get lots of individual attention. Typically, they will be laying in the middle of the kitchen while I make dinner and snuggling with us in the evenings during T.V. time. They are welcome to sleep in our bedroom. No kennels are used unless necessary or requested. My goal is to provide your family's' pet the individual loving attention that they are used to getting just like at home. I look forward to meeting you all.

Gunnie had a great time! Luarie sent us pictures of Gunny and they all looked like he was having a lot of fun! So glad we left him with Laurie! I don't think he noticed we were gone.

Laurie & Mike are wonderful people who truly care about your dog while their care. I had no doubt during the meet and greet Buster would be just fine. From the moment I arrived on “the ranch” to photo updates, I knew that I found Buster’s “camp in WI”. I will be using Laurie & Mike in the future.

A typical day

We have a lake at the end of our subdivision - Lake Lorraine- that is great for letting the dogs swim. Weather permitting, that can be a fun activity for some dogs! We also have our own walking trails that are private for walking the dogs. Frisbee's and tennis balls are numerous around here and inside looks like it explodes with dog toys. Never a dull moment!

Meet and Greet's are necessary before confirming all new guest reservations. Must be neutered/spayed and up to date on basic vaccinations. Because we spend alot of time outside, flea/tick preventative highly encouraged! If your dog has a behavior issue, it's best to be open about it and let us know so we can do everything possible to prevent precursors or triggers. Putting shoes away is better than having then chewed.
