Pet care experience

Pet haven

If this is your first time using Rover, ask me how to save $20 on your pet’s first stay! Animals have always been woven into my life. I’ve had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, and I naturally became the person friends and family turned to when they needed someone who would love their pets like their own. I know the feeling of packing for a trip and wishing I could bring my fur baby with me, so I make sure every pet who stays here feels safe, seen, and deeply cared for. I adore sending updates—little stories, sweet moments, and plenty of photos—because I know how much it means to see your pup happy while you’re away. If your dog does something silly or sweet, you’ll hear about it. My home has a fenced backyard where we take several play breaks throughout the day. Sometimes it’s a lively game of fetch, and sometimes it’s just stretching out in the sunshine together. I enjoy going for walks and will take your pup along whenever possible. Dogs are only crated or separated when I step out for quick errands, and when I’m boarding, I keep my time away very limited. Every dog who stays with me becomes part of our little household. They’re welcome on the couch, welcome to cuddle, and welcome to settle into whatever cozy spot feels right to them. I love caring for everyone—from bouncy puppies to gentle seniors—and I enjoy having a home full of wagging tails and soft snores. While I can separate dogs if needed, I prefer pups who enjoy the company of others so everyone has a peaceful, happy stay.

Highly recommend!! We are so blessed to have gotten ahold of Kristy literally last minute before a trip. She made everything so easy and even offered to come grab a key before we left. She did what she needed to do and we did not have to worry. Our cat who rarely comes out for strangers even let her get in a few pets while she was there.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands while I was away. Communication was excellent, and it was clear my dog was treated with love, patience, and attention. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable dog sitter!R

Schedule

I work from home so I'm able to attend to any needs they may have during the day. I do potty breaks several times throughout the day as well as play breaks. I enjoy time outside during my lunch break and sometimes for work calls.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced‑in yard and my sweet dog, Zaylynn, who loves having friends over. Since I’m home during the day, we take multiple breaks to go outside—little moments to stretch, sniff around, play, or just enjoy the sunshine together. I only crate or separate dogs when I need to run quick errands; otherwise, everyone is together, sharing the space and settling into the rhythm of the home. It’s a calm, cozy environment where pups can relax, explore, and feel like part of the family.

Pets

A typical day

I love walking and exploring with my dog and yours. In the evenings, we usually head out for a gentle walk or settle into the backyard where I toss balls and let everyone unwind at their own pace. It’s a peaceful, easy rhythm—fresh air, wagging tails, and a little end‑of‑day joy. If your dog needs to be crated, I have a large crate available, but you’re always welcome to bring your own along with any bedding, blankets, or favorite toys that help them feel at home. I want their stay to feel familiar, comforting, and safe.

To make your dog’s stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible, it helps me to know a few things ahead of time. Every pup is different, and these details let me care for them the way you do at home. - Daily routine — feeding times, potty schedule, nap habits, and anything that helps them feel settled. - Food & treat preferences — what they love, what they avoid, and how you normally feed them. - Allergies or sensitivities — food, environmental, or medication allergies, plus what you’d like me to do if they ever show signs of a reaction. - Energy level — whether they’re a playful explorer, a sunshine napper, or somewhere in between. - Social style — how they do with other dogs, whether they prefer slow introductions, or if they need a little space at first. - Comfort items — favorite toys, blankets, or bedtime routines that help them feel at home. - Fears or triggers — storms, loud noises, certain dogs, scooters, fireworks, etc. - Handling preferences — if they’re comfortable being picked up, brushed, or touched around their paws. - Bathroom cues — how they let you know they need to go out. - Medical needs — medications, supplements, mobility concerns, or anything that helps them stay comfortable. - Crate habits — if they’re crate‑trained, how they feel about it, and whether you’d like to bring your own crate or bedding. - Separation comfort — how they handle someone leaving the house, even for a short time. I’m also happy to schedule a meet‑and‑greet so you, your pup, and Zaylynn can all get to know each other and make sure it feels like the right fit. I want you to feel completely at ease before their stay.
