Belly rubs and long walks to share!
I have had dogs my entire life. I recently lost my 2 year old rescue Luna to cancer and miss the companionship of animals. I love taking long walks and bringing dogs on adventures where they can sniff to their hearts content. In my home, your dog will treated like family. Snuggles on the couch, tug of war, belly rubs and endless ear scratches are part of the package. I am patient and loving to all the animals I care for. If your pet has a special diet or needs, I'm more than happy to accommodate them. I am comfortable with large dog breeds - drool is no problem! Senior dogs are welcome to lounge in the sun on the floor or couch of my living room or go for car rides if that is what they love. I truly hope to have the opportunity to get to know you and your pet. I teach middle school. While I am happy to have your fur friend with me anytime, I want you to be aware that I am out of the house on school days for 8hrs.

Kristen watched our senior dog Ellie during our wedding weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with her! She sent so many pics and updates so we knew Ellie was taken care of and loved while we were gone. Ellie is older and needs a bit extra love and attention, along with medication, and Kristen was so happy to provide that. She even let Ellie sleep in bed with her, which I know made Ellie very happy! Thank you so much Kristen!!!
Kristen keeps in touch throughout the stay and sends great photos so I can see the great time my dog is having. Her yard and home are truly dog heaven. Highly recommended.
Kristen is awesome- so kind and accommodating! She was able to care for my Luna on short notice and over the holidays and she was such a doll about the whole thing. The pics she sent of Luna were adorable, I know she had a blast and was in great hands! Overall a great experience!

Schedule
I am a Special Education teacher currently. I'm available for afternoon or weekend walks, overnight care and vacation sitting - whatever your needs. During school vacations I am available to either board your pet with me or stay in your home if you decide to travel. I'm also available for walks or pee breaks anytime during school vacations.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home dogs are welcome anywhere in my home. My living room is a wall of windows overlooking the woods. It is a one story house with a finished basement that I block off at the top of the stairs. You dog is welcome to lounge on a bed and check for squirrels out the window or curl up on the couch with me. If you prefer your dog to be crated, I have space for a crate as well. I have a large yard with a fenced in garden for potty breaks or to sniff around. I also have a dog run if that fits your needs. While on the run, I'll keep an eye on your pet at all times (my living room is all windows).
A typical day
I love to play ball, explore new areas and smells and am happy to work on basic commands with your pet. I have a few trails I know of that are great for walks in the woods.
