Safety, trust & environment

I do not care for pets in my own home. But I am trustworthy and believe that an animal should be left in the environment that they are most familiar with. Removing them from their environment to a strangers will cause too much stress so I am not an advocate of bringing animals to my house. As far as my routine, once I get a new client, I will want to meet the new client and their fur child before they leave for their designated trip. It’s SO IMPORTANT they see me interact with their owner and know that I’m not a threat especially in their own environment. This creates trust and builds a bond between myself and the animal. (Cats can be territorial too! I’ve seen them attack intruders. Don’t underestimate them.) Keeping to routine and treats go a long way are my two general rule of thumb. Animals aren’t human and they don’t like a lot of change so continuing the same routine as their owner is important as fat meal times or cleaning out litter boxes. Not to mention giving them treats after every visit lets them be excited for you to come AND leave.

Information Kirston R. would like to know about your pet

It’s important for me to know any medical needs, allergies, or behavioral quirks ahead of time—like anxiety triggers, leash reactivity, or food sensitivities. I also like to know their daily routine, favorite toys, what comforts them, and anything that helps them feel safe and happy while you’re away. The more I know, the better I can make sure they feel right at home with me!

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I like to tailor our time together based on their personality and energy level! For the playful pups, I love going on walks, playing fetch, and getting their tails wagging with interactive toys or games. For more laid-back pets, I enjoy giving belly rubs, brushing sessions, or just sitting with them to keep them company. Cats get plenty of playtime with wands, toys, and cozy cuddle sessions if they’re into it. I’m also happy to keep up with any routines they already love—whether that’s sunbathing by a window, chasing bubbles, or just having someone to nap near.

Pet care experience

To me, animals are the most innocent companions we have. They deserve to feel safe, understood, and loved. While I’m not a vet, I bring a deep sense of empathy and a lifelong passion for animals to every interaction. Whether it’s giving meds to a senior dog, helping a disabled pet navigate their day, or handling exotic pets with confidence, I bring calm energy and a strong sense of responsibility to every pet I care for.

True team player! She is there for the pets not just the pay. Direct and clear communication. I recommend her, and trust my pet is being taken care of when working with Kriston.

My name is Jessica and I would like to speak in the profile of Kirsten Redman.I would like to say that she is a wonderful person that truly cares not only for humans but for animals,I once found 2 abandoned kittens at approximately 4-5 days old and had to bottle feed them on top of stimulating them to go to the bathroom she helped me enormously with that situation and among that I’ve seen her in action with her own pets and other animals she truly cares and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone I know to care for their fur babies!

Kirston is so good with any animals. She always knows what to do in any situation. From birthing kittens in a closet to helping the oldest pup. I keep telling her she should have been a vet!
