I have fostered or sat for dogs, cats, and reptiles for 20 years. I have taken care of a variety of dog breeds, including Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Australian Shepherds, puppies and mutts. I've fostered and sat for neonatal kittens, older kittens, and cats. I foster because it is important to me that animals find loving, forever homes. I would love to help you take care of your animals while you are out of your home. Pet sitting allows me to love on animals and for them to love on me! I have a greyhound who is not known for being well-behaved but is known for being anxious. At 3.5 years old, he’s never been with a sitter or in a kennel, mainly due to no availability in Gallup. I had Kendra do drop-by visits over a 3-day weekend. After meeting/talking to Kendra, I was completely at ease. She is well-educated and does this service because of her love for animals/knowledge of the need for this in Gallup. I’m sure there are other good pet sitters, but I just don’t need to look for one anymore. I cannot recommend Kendra enough. I appreciate you, Kendra!

Schedule
I currently work from home and teach at a university, so my schedule is flexible. I'm available for days, nights, and weekends right now, so we can work with your schedule and mine to find the perfect times.

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure that the animals I take care of are safe and get belly scratches. I sit with them at first to make sure they trust me, and then we will go on walks, play, or just spend time with each other. Animals are like children for me, so they will be loved and well taken care of.
Pets
A typical day
We will go on walks on the trail behind my house, and play fetch and tug-of-war. We can also play any game your dog loves!
