I work from home on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and I am available on weekends. I work in office on Wednesday and Thursday so I have availability based off of work on those days.

I am very diligent about pet care, I’ve had my cat for over 10 years now and I have done any and everything I can to ensure she’s healthy and happy and taking care of in any way that she can. Also, I am a licensed social worker and I work for New York City, so I also have a lot of experience in working with people. I’ve also taken a masters level course on the impact of animals on emotional and mental well-being. I have advocated for and written letters for people who need emotional support animals in a professional setting.

Please let me know of any special requests or needs. If there is any history of aggression with people or other animals. Let me know if your dog requires muzzling, pincher collar, e-collar. I have experience with all three. For cats. I know they are all different, just let me know if they want attention or if they want to do the approaching.

I work from home 3 days and in office 2 days, allowing me flexibility to take walks during the day or doing drop ins during the day or evenings. On the weekends I can be more flexible. Within our radius, there are many dog parks and other parks to take your dog to and have some fun. I have a cat of my own and she loves to play, get brushed, and of course treats. I will follow all instructions provided by you, the animal parent!

Growing up, we always had two German shepherds so we had two sets of German shepherds at different periods of time. They were great dogs and they required a lot of activity and later on had health issues which required attention. Previously I’ve had an English bulldog which he did have some behavioral and medical issues that I was able to navigate. My mother and my sister’s have a passion of rescuing dogs so in total they have seven dogs. I’m very comfortable with working with animals, especially dogs and cats. I’m willing to work with a dog that might be more temperamental. I also often pet sit for my two friends cats when they are on vacation and have dog sat friends dogs on several occasions.

Kayla took care of my cat Truffle for 27 days and I honestly feel so lucky we found her. That’s a long time to trust someone with your baby, and she handled everything so thoughtfully and consistently. Even during the terrible snow weather, she still showed up and made sure Truffle was safe, fed, and comfortable. She kept everything tidy, which I truly appreciated coming home to. The daily photos and videos were always super clear and reassuring. Overall, Kayla was very reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely caring!! I’d absolutely trust her with Truffle again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family.
Kayla is a fantastic cat sitter! She followed all of my instructions and went above and beyond, sending me lots of photos during her visit. It was wonderful to see my cat, who is usually shy, playing with her.
