Hey all!! I’ve been caring for my own animals;horses,dogs,cats,rabbits,etc for most of my life(30+yrs) I’ve also always been the friend whom everyone asks to care for their furry friend. I went to school to become a veterinary technician and have practiced in animal hospitals for a couple of years but now work seasonally as a wildlife biologist in the Mojave Desert. I love to be active with our pets, whether it’s a short or long walk or I can even take them out in the trails! If they want tons of love and affection, I’ll give it to them. If they are not so social, I can give them their space but still talk to them to let them know they are safe and still being loved, even when their family is not around. Love cats and completely understand them, ha ha!

Katie is such a treasure! She took incredibly good care of my pups, sharing pics and observations of them the whole time I was away. Even went above and beyond and made an extra visit when my flight home was delayed. So glad she’s joined us here in the Wood River Valley!

Katie saved our day while traveling in Denali National Park! She was able to come to our RV at the campground so that we were able to enjoy the full tour experience where dogs were not allowed. Iggy had chances to get out and walk a few times while were were gone and we had peace of mind that he was safe in the campground. The whole experience was positive and I would recommend her to anyone!!

Katie LOVES animals! I think working as a vet tech helps as well, because she knows how to work with all types of dog/cat personalities. I trust Katie in my home and watching/walking my dog Max, who is the love of my life. She always gives Max tons of attention, and talks to him. I can tell she truly cares.

Schedule
I work a few months in the spring and fall down in the L48 but while I’m home it’s nice to have part time work while also enjoying my outdoor lifestyle. I won’t be staying at homes because I have my 13yo cat who has recently bend diagnosed with kidney failure so am trying to be w her as much as possible.

- I would like to know their Activity level, feed/water, how they are on leash or off, behavior with other dogs or humans, health issues, microchipped, who their veterinarian is.
