Routines are essential to keep consistent, especially when your dog is in a stressed state. I will do my best to keep to the same routine that you use when you are home (feeding time, potty breaks, walks etc.) I would also like to share that I take my own dog on runs and hikes at the various parks in the area most mornings. I believe that exercise is the best way to make sure that your dog lives a long and healthy life, *health status permitting.* **I will not bring my dog with me while walking your dog or bring her into your house. They will not interact unless you give written permission. Your dog is probably stressed enough as it is.**

I love to care for all dogs, big and small, young and old, perky and laid-back. Let me know if your dog has any special needs that need to be addressed while you are away.
A typical day
Every dog has their favorite toy and/or game to play. Let me know what that is so that I can use that to stimulate and keep them active while you are away. However, I have a personal policy against transporting your dog, unless it is a trip to the vet in an emergency. Therefore, I can not take your dog anywhere outside of walking distance from your house (>1 mile).

I have loved dogs my entire life. They give us unconditional love and they deserve unconditional compassion in return. One summer I worked for a groomer in my hometown who also kenneled. I was appalled at how their clients dogs were treated. It broke my heart. That experience left me with the mindset that, especially when their loved owners are not around, dogs deserve to receive the unconditional love that they give us. When their humans are not around, they are scared and stressed, too busy wondering where and why they were left at home. I will do my best to bring them out of that state by giving them the same loving and compassionate care that I give to my own dog and that you give to yours.

Katie took amazing care our our pups. Cannot recommend her enough. She was always on time, very respectful, trustworthy, and responsive. We loved the pictures she sent at every checkin - it was so good to see how much the boys loved her. This was our first time using Rover and Katie made the experience so good.
