Hi there! My name is Katie, and I am a self-described dog aficionado and in general just love animals. I can't resist the opportunity to make friends with every dog I meet, be it on the street or in my apartment building's elevator. I have co-owned my rescue dog, Ivy, since December 2020 with my husband Anthony and before owning her, I did dog sit a few friends' pets on occasion. I also grew up with a dog or two, also rescue dogs. I do genuinely just love furry friends and I hope to get even the most suspicious or wary of creatures to like me. After booking, I require a meet and greet with you and your pet first to determine if we are a good fit. Because I work in the loop, if you live within 15 minutes (walk, bike, or transit), I can also do a drop in for your cat or dog, or take your dog on a walk on my lunch Mondays - Thursdays. I also offer house-sitting for dogs and cats with advance notice, and would love to hang out with your furry friend! In our home, our dog runs the house! She is allowed on the couch and about once a week she sleeps on our bed (on top of the couch). We encourage cuddling and never feed our own dog table scraps and never would feed yours that either. As for your home, I would leave it in the same condition I found it with the trash emptied. I would prefer to not even cook in your home if I can help it, beyond the toaster or microwave. I essentially wouldn't want it to look like I was ever even there! People's homes are private and warrant a certain respect and trust not just for the animals but for the space itself.
