Pet care experience

lifelong animal lover!

Hi! I’m Kathy—a remote worker based in Kips Bay and lifelong animal lover. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles—you name it—and I raised my Golden Retriever from 8 weeks old. Being apart from him inspired me to start pet sitting here in NYC. It’s the best way to fill my dog-shaped void and give back to fellow pet parents. I’m home most of the day, except for occasional workouts or errands (1–2 hours daily). I tailor care to each pet’s needs—whether they’re energetic, anxious, or just want a snuggle buddy. I’ve taken dog training courses, and I feel confident with all breeds, ages, and personalities. Location & services: I offer walks and drop-ins within 1 mile of Kips Bay, and I’m happy to travel farther for house sitting. I also provide cat care and love caring for small animals. Just message me if you have questions—I’d love to meet your fur baby!

Kathy took great care of our cat. It was our first weekend away as pet parents and she made it stress-free. She sent lots of photos and gave our kitty a lot of attention & playtime. I greatly appreciated her willingness to coordinate key exchange before/after the stay.

We booked Kathy at the absolute last minute, and she was an incredible find. If you are looking for a reliable, compassionate caretaker for your pets, look no further. She took phenomenal care of our two cats. We are always incredibly particular about who watches them. Kathy completely put our minds at ease right from the start. Her communication was flawless throughout the entire booking. She sent us tons of amazing pictures while we were away and clearly spent a lot of dedicated time playing with the cats and keeping them engaged. We could not recommend Kathy enough. She genuinely treats your pets like her own, and we will absolutely be booking her again!

Kathy did an awesome job with our dog Finley while we were visiting the city. She was prompt, responsible, and took great care of our girl. Would definitely book again.

Safety, trust & environment

I host daycare and boarding at my apartment. I provide dog walking and drop in services about 1 mile away from my place. For house sitting Im willing to travel. Just reach out to me and we’ll discuss!

A typical day

I live by myself in the Kips Bay area. Madison Square Park is just a 10-min walk away, and Stuytown Park is a few blocks away from my apartment. My neighborhood is very dog-friendly, hence my dog envy. I am able to share space with dogs under 40 lbs––more for their comfort than mine. I’m also open to house sitting. When I’m booked to care for a dog, I usually try to work from home so we can get 3-4 long walks in during the day. There are so many wonderful parks, running paths, and dog parks around––I don’t think we’ll run out of places to explore. And of course, my favorite part is coming back and snuggling up on the couch. All I want to do is spend real quality time with your pup. I thank you in advance for the opportunity!

I adapt my interaction based on your dog’s preferences. Dogs have their own personalities and I respect their boundaries. Of course I’ll want to know the basics like your pup’s diet, routines, favorite toys, preferred games, triggers, etc. but it’ll be good to know if they have any anxieties, stressors, or special needs. The more information I have, the better care I can provide. The city can be so loud and crazy sometimes, I want to make sure I shield the more sensitive pups as much as I can. If you’d like to schedule a meet and greet, I’d be happy to swing by so we can meet face to face and make sure we’ll all comfortable. I don’t have any preferences in terms of breed, size, or age––I’m just thrilled I get to hang out with any dog! I like to keep the lines of communication open at all times, so I will send daily updates, photos, and videos so you don’t miss any memorable moments.
