I am a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver. Your dog will be safe, happy, and well cared for in my home. I currently foster dogs through DC City Dogs and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA), and I’ve had dogs all my life. My beloved black lab, Tullia—whom I adopted from AWLA—was with me for 16 wonderful years. My experience includes bathing, feeding, administering medication, playtime, and daily walks. I have a safe, comfortable home with a large fenced-in yard, located in a great walking neighborhood that I would love to share with your dog. If you’re looking for someone responsible, attentive, and caring, please reach out. My only request is that pick-up times not be scheduled after 8 PM. Thank you, Kathleen

My pup Shelby loves staying with Kathleen - she gives every dog so much love and attention, and her fenced in backyard can’t be beat! Kathleen does a fantastic job sending photos and updates through the stay - I know my doggo is in great hands!

Schedule
I am currently working remote 3 days a week and I work 10 minutes from my house so I come home every day at lunch time for a potty and play break.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in my home like they are my own. I allow pets on the furniture and let the roam free if they do not need to be crated. I would appreciate no late pick ups for safety reasons.
A typical day
A typical day would include going out first thing in the AM and then eating breakfast. After eating playing in the back yard and them possibly a nap after that. An afternoon walk then dinner, play and bed.
