My spouse and I love dog-sitting for friends and family, and would love to welcome your pet into our home. We live within walking distance from UIHC and the VA Hospital, and can watch your pet(s) for as little or as long as you need. I work from home with a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize your pet. I am home almost 24/7! We have a large fenced-in backyard and live on a dead end street. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and great for walks. I will keep you updated on your pet’s progress with pictures and videos and let you know if there are any concerns, or reach out just to ensure you they're doing great! I am a responsible, compassionate, and responsible person and I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own. Before a stay, I would be happy to set up a meet and greet so you can get to know me a little better. I like learning about your pet’s behavioral tendencies, normal schedule or routine, favorite toys and treats, exercise needs, and if he or she has any medical issues. I can assist with giving medications or other care as needed. ♥️

Kasey is an extremely responsible and attentive caregiver to pets! Her ability to anticipate any and all needs of an animal is a rare find. She really takes the time to connect with each pet to make sure they get the right kind of specialized attention. I would recommend Kasey for any sort of care your pet needs.
This was the first time we used Rover, and I was so happy that we found Kasey and her family. It was obvious from the moment I met her and her family that they loved caring for animals. Pepper enjoyed his stay and was given such great care. Kasey was such a great communicator- I received several pictures and updates that made me realize that he was getting lots of attention and love. This really helped calmed my worries regarding him while I was away. I can't say enough great things about Kasey and her family but was so grateful for their willingness to take care of my dog like he was their own. Would definitely book with Kasey again- she was wonderful!
Kasey was an absolute blessing to us! Our daughter was admitted to Iowa City Hospital and we were traveling with our 2 fur babies. We had no idea how we would be able to visit her, but Kasey made it possible! Her location to the hospital is absolutely perfect! Her love of animals is extremely evident when you visit her lovely home! Knowing she will be able to care for our dogs for future hospital visits with our daughter gives us such peace of mind! You will not be disappointed if you choose Her!

You will find no one sitter more compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and a personable friend to dogs than Kasey. Kasey is a lifelong dog-champion and I trust her implicitly with my own fur-son--You couldn't find a better steward but her great care makes her in high demand so you may have to wait in line! Go away anxiety-free. You'll come home to a loved dog that will be so happy, healthy, and played with that you'll feel embarrassingly jealous and might wonder if pup pup even missed you!
I know any cat or dog would be in excellent hands with Kasey because she takes such wonderful care of her own pets. She makes sure her indoor cats have enough entertainment and fresh air by taking them on walks in a pet stroller, and she’s always given her dogs the same love and attention you would give a family member. This includes caring for them as they age, administering medications, and staying up with them at night when they’re sick. She’s totally committed to her pets’ well-being, as she would be to any animal in her care. Kasey has all the experience and dedication it takes to be a terrific pet-sitter , and I strongly recommend her!

Schedule
I can provide full-time company to your pet since I work from home. We can go for walks around the neighborhood and we have a large fenced-in backyard to play in too!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s needs are my priority. I am most comfortable with small dogs, but I will consider caring for mid-size dogs. We recently lost our Shih-Tzu, Koda, who shared almost 18 amazing years with us. In February, we rescued a 5 year old Shih Tzu named Daisy. We also have two Devon Rex cats, Eo and Luna. Everyone is great with small dogs. The cats are curious and very friendly with people, but they are cautious around big dogs. They gave our older dog his space and respected that he did not want to play with them the last couple of years.
Pets
A typical day
We have lots of soft spaces for naps in our home and dog-safe toys. We can go for walks around the neighborhood. Your pet will be able to safely explore our fenced-in backyard anytime they'd like.
