I just want to hang out with your dog!
I’m an experienced in-your-home pet and house-sitter (day and night) - which I enjoy and love to do at the same time! Read on to find out more about me and see if I’m a good match for you :) I’ve been lucky to have pets to love and care for all my life and having a pet is something I really miss (I can't have a pet of my own due to where I live). After taking early retirement I'm just not ready to slow down and this means I have loads of time and love to give to your pets! I find the love and affection from animals so rewarding which is why in the absence of my own I decided to become a pet-sitter - starting out with sitting for friends and family and expanding from there. I've always had dogs - and many other pets along the way like cats, rabbits, hamsters, budgies and lots of tropical fish! Two of my most beloved dogs were rescues. I've had Corgis, German Shepherds, Labradors and mixed breeds. I now have a delightful - and cheeky - Mini Dachshund “grand-pup”! I’ve cared for many dog breeds (Springers, Cockers, Lurchers, Bichon Frise, Mini Poodles, Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, Collies, Podencos, Dachshunds and more!) and many with different needs - young, old, small, large, cross-breed, rescue, pedigree and those with medical conditions and special and / or senior needs. Safety, trust & environment
I’m an in-your-home pet-sitter, I will travel to you and look after your pet in your home - and also look after your home at the same time. I can ensure your dog gets lots of stimulation and movement within your home space and garden. I will never leave your dog alone in your home unless you specify that this is OK and normal for them. I know how hard it can be to trust someone with your beloved pet and know very well how special and very unique the needs of pets can be - I want to reassure you there is no silly request or need I won’t understand. With lots of house-sitting under my belt, I pride myself in how I treat other’s homes and precious things like their pets and home security. I am happy to spend time introducing myself and getting to know you and your pets and to travel to you. I am flexible to your needs and how you like communication to be - happy to follow all guidelines and requirements for your pets and home and to send you updates and photos as regularly as you’d like. "Qualifications and Checks" - Clear and recent DBS check (can be provided upon request). - Personal insurance cover above Rover’s insurance provision (can be provided upon request). - Currently obtaining Canine First Aid Certified and Comprehensive. - Personal references can be provided.

Karen looked after our dog Bear and cat Poppy very well. She sent us a few updates of what they were doing and photo's of them both looking very happy and relaxed. The house and garden were tidy and the bathroom cleaned. I would definitely recommend Karen.

Karen did a wonderful job looking after our two babies! I realised after the first message and picture that we neednt have worried at all and had complete confidence in them being safe and well cared for, which they were. In addition, Karen had cooked us two meals for our return which was totally unexpected and a lovely tasty surprise. Excellent service from Karen. Very kind and caring lady and clearly lives animals very much. My dog and cat were very at ease when I got back from 2 days away so they were obviously very well looked after. Got regular updates which were super helpful and reassuring and the house was absolutely spotless on my return. Thank you so much Karen

Schedule
I have no work commitments but I do the occasional craft fair and enjoy visiting friends and family. I have lots of availability throughout the whole week. I offer pet sitting for the day, evenings and overnight.
