Dog Summer Camp.
I started my own dog walking and pet sitting business at eight caring for dogs, lizards, birds, cats and snakes. As an adult, I've worked as a dog trainer, doggy day care host, dog rehabber and in wild life rescue and rehab. I also have experience in trapping and rehabbing feral dogs. I have experience in giving oral medications, subcutaneous shots, as well as a plethora of behavioral issues such as separation anxiety, obedience, resource guarding and more. + I have my own private, insurance independent of Rover. + Every dog is treated as if they are my own. And I am happy to work on behavioral issues. I've successfully integrated several anxious, timid dogs that are normally too fear-prone for adventures into my pack. I work with dogs as a boarder and day care host full time and will spend as much time one on one with your dog as it takes for them to become fully integrated and happy with the pack.

This was Snoopy‘s second visit with Kara and I was so excited that she was available! Snoopy is an only dog and very timid and I knew a couple of days at day. Camp would be just what he needed to help bring him out of his shell. He did really well with her pack. I got constant photos and videos and my heart was full with his visit. I can’t wait to rebook with Kara!!
Kara took the best care of Frankie. She was very knowledgeable about different breeds and what Frankie could and could not do. He had the time of his life and I will definitely be continuing care with Kara every time we go out of town, and also just to keep Frankie able to spend time with other dogs on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Shadow had a great time and we got plenty of updates with great pics and videos!
My dog had the absolute best time. I was able to chat with Kara a couple weeks in advance to decide if this was a good fit for him while I went to a wedding in the area. The updates of his days running around and getting pup cups, outshined my weekend at a wedding in the Santa Cruz mountains (which was great). If you’re on the fence about booking, reach out. If its a fit, your dog will likely have the best weekend of their lives.
Our pup Pippin had an incredible experience with Kara. He was a very happy pup!
Daisy had a great long weekend with Kara and her dogs. She had so much fun I think she was reluctant to come home with us.

Schedule
My happy place is taking a walk through the woods with dogs. Now that I own my own home, I can make that dream a reality. I do this full time.

Safety, trust & environment
I own close to an acre of land with a fenced, play yard for the dogs where they can run in and out of the house at will. My home is filled with toys, bones, and dog beds. Unless requested by the owner, I don't crate dogs. They're free to sleep in the bed with me, lounge on the couch, or simply pick the floor. :)
Pets
A typical day
I love to hike and visit the local swimming hole. Exercising high energy dogs keeps me in shape! Although, if your dog is older or mellow we can simply chill. My house is filled with toys, safe chews, dog beds and blankets. There's also a dog park down the road we like to visit.
