We used Kara for a 2 1/2 day weekend house-sitting service. Avila was healthy and sound when we got home, and even got to go on a run with Kara (w/ my prior approval), which was very much appreciated! However, communication/updates were lacking, which had me feeling worried while on my most important/stressful work trip of the year. For sitters at Kara's rate, I have traditionally received updates when they arrive and a couple times a day with words + written updates. During the meet and greet, I said that I would love lots of pics/updates, even though I may be too busy to respond. Kara was scheduled to arrive at 9am on the first day. I hadn't heard that she made it by 11:15, so I contacted her as I was unsure if my pup was being taken care of. She responded with a picture of my pup 2:45, and sent me a few pictures w/ no comments that evening. The second day I received two photos at 5pm with no comments. At that time, I explicitly asked how my pup was doing and to receive am/pm pictures + update for the final day. On the final day, I did receive two updates as requested. Kara messaged me that she was leaving a little over an hour before the booking was intended to end, which caught me by surprise, and again, left me feeling concerned that she had not arrived at the scheduled time on day 1.

Kara was an amazing cat and house sitter! Both of my kitties take medication and love when people stay with them. They have a very detailed routine and Kara took great care of them. I trust Kara to take care of any home and any animal that she is taking care of. She sent pictures while we were gone and the kitties were so content when we came home. Book with her for any of your trips and you won’t be disappointed!!

Kara is amazing! Our little guy was obsessed with her immediately! She is very tentative and communicative and took great care of both our pup and our home. Highly recommend and can’t wait to have her sit again!

Kara did such an amazing job house sitting for us, and taking care of our most precious cat KOKO. Kara was detail oriented during our experience, and has a calm energy that our cat responded well to. I appreciated that we got pictures of KOKO along the way! Would highly recommend for those looking for a house /cat sitter :)

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! She followed every single instruction we left and went above and beyond to make sure our cat and dog felt safe, comfortable, and happy the entire time. From the regular updates and photos to the clear care she gave both of them, it was obvious they were in excellent hands. Our pets came home relaxed and content, which is the best feedback we could receive. Highly recommend—she’s reliable, attentive, and truly cares about the animals. We’ll definitely be booking her again!
