Highly professional pet care Hi, I’m Kaja (pronounced “Kaya”) Welcome to our little family dog haven in Richmond! With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs, I’ve developed a deep love, respect, and understanding of our four-legged companions. Over the years, I’ve worked at a dog daycares and had the honor of fostering a King Charles Spaniel, two giant Fila Brasileiros, and four lovable Pit Bulls. Each dog has taught me something new about patience, communication, and unconditional love. This is truly a family business — I run it with the help of my two daughters you can also find their profiles here on Rover who are here to help provide loving, attentive daytime care. Your pup will never be short on company, cuddles, or playtime! We currently have one friendly, well-socialized dog. A sweet poodle named Charming. We also have a secure backyard with a freshly updated dog run, perfect for spring and summer fun. Crate-trained pups are welcome, and I can crate your dog if needed. I work at an elementary school from 9am–3pm on weekdays, I’m available for boarding, house sitting, and drop-in visits outside of those hours — with my daughters helping hold it down during the day. 🦴 Important note about walks: Every stay or service includes one complimentary walk per day. Additional walks are available upon request and are offered on a sliding scale of $15 to $30 per walk, based on your dog’s needs and the length or intensity of the walk. We’re happy to tailor things to your pup and your budget! As a lifelong learner, I’m always reading and watching content to better understand dog behavior. I’m a big believer in Cesar Millan’s approach and highly recommend his book Cesar’s Way for any fellow dog lovers out there. Kaja gave me such peace of mind while I was away, knowing my pets would be loved and cared for the whole time. When I did come home, the dogs were very happy and showed absolutely no signs of stress. She shared updates, pictures, and was incredibly fun and easy to work with! Kaja took care of my house too, which was a huge help, and she did a fantastic job.
I couldn’t be happier with the care provided for Kimiko and Ziva! They were looked after with such kindness and attention, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing they are in great hands. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Kaja for her exceptional boarding services! She was incredibly flexible in accommodating my late request, which I really appreciated. Kaja treated Benny with so much love and care, and it was clear he felt comfortable and happy with her. Great sitter - I only care about the well being of my dog and with Kaya I was super confident he would be fine. He came back after two weeks in great shape and spirit and that’s what matters the most. Kaya was also super responsive and accommodating. What more can you ask for? Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. During the school year, I work weekdays, but my daughters—who help run our family business—handle daytime care. In the summer, I’m home full-time, allowing me to be even more hands-on with walks, feedings, and love throughout the day. We provide consistent, reliable, and nurturing care year-round.

A typical day is tailored to your dog’s routine and energy level. I prioritize keeping them comfortable, active, and happy. We play in the yard, relax indoors, and follow any feeding or medication schedules closely. If outside walks are requested, we might explore Point Isabel, Point Pinole, or even take a beach trip. Every pup is different, so I customize activities based on your dog’s needs and the services you request.
