Safety, trust & environment
I am flexible based upon client needs and can offer in-home visits around my work schedule and availability. Your pet will be treated like my own and socialization and enrichment will be part of the care process. Whether your pet is crated or has free roam, I’m happy to accommodate whatever needs they have with their comfort and safety top of mind. Food and water will be replenished as needed, litter boxes scooped (if applicable), medication(s) administered, and dogs taken for walks or outside for yard time. Of course, there will also be lots of pets and cuddles involved as well as playtime. I understand firsthand the importance of being able to trust your beloved pets with someone and having the peace of mind knowing that they are receiving the best care. Your pets will be treated like my own and I will gladly provide you with regular updates and photos/videos.
Information Julie B. would like to know about your pet
Any special needs such as medications, dietary restrictions, allergies, and health conditions are important items to know before caring for your pet(s). It’s also critical to understand their temperament and behavior needs including how they react to people/kids or other animals while on walks, training commands, and triggers such as storms or loud noises. In addition, it helps to know their vetting history and vaccination status for safety and health purposes.
A typical day
I like to incorporate positive reinforcement and enrichment activities in my interactions with pets. Walks (dogs), interactive playtime, and, of course, lots of cuddles and love are part of my care routine. I feel that mental enrichment is just as important as physical activity. I understand that each pet has their own personality and preferences and it’s not a one size fits all approach. I will adapt my care plan based upon their specific needs.

Experienced and reliable pet lover
Pet care experience
I have had pets all my life and have a special place in my heart for animals of all kinds. My husband and I do not have any human children, so our pets are our kids. I have been fostering for a local non-profit rescue for the past 18+ years and also serve as President and board member. I have fostered hundreds of cats and kittens throughout this time, some of which who have required intensive care, rehabilitation and socialization. Providing pets with the absolute best care is my number one priority. Your pets will be treated like my own with their wellness, comfort, safety, and happiness my top focus. I want you to have peace of mind knowing that your pets will be in the best of hands and well cared for while you are away. My specialty is cats, but I am also experienced with dogs as well. I have extensive medical knowledge and training based upon my years of fostering and am versed in first aid, administering medications, injections, and subcutaneous fluids.

Reviews

Julie is such a great person and sitter!
Outstanding sitter. Went above and beyond.

Julie did such an amazing job with Brie! She left great notes and sent pictures to. I felt very comfortable with leaving her this weekend and knew she was getting so much love and attention during her trips here. Would definitely recommend and plan to book her again!

Julie was the BEST pet sitter! She watched our super-shy cats for an extended weekend and somehow managed to get one of them to come out of hiding - something that has never happened before! She provided detailed reports after each visit along with pictures of the cats, and quickly responded to my messages. She will be my first call next time I need a cat sitter!
