John was great. My place was left neat and the animals seemed well fed and happy when I arrived home. He responded quickly to my messages. I will definitely book him again.

John is the best and Rocko is always happy to see him! 🐾

John quickly responded to our request & was timely in getting to our home. He is a very nice well mannered young man, who is easy to communicate with and warm & friendly. We hit it off & our dog enjoyed him as well. I gave him lengthy instructions on the meet & greet day, as well when he came here to house/pet sit. I left detailed instructions (3 pages worth) regarding our dog, the house, picking up mail, to lock back gate after gardener came etc... We got 2 pic the 1st day then nothing until once I texted him to remind him, he did with videos, which we really enjoyed. We had instructed him to return the trash cans after garbage men came...he forgot. Neighbor alerted us, so we texted him about it. We continued to receive videos of our dog on morning walks which made us miss him just a smidgen less. I had picked up John the day he came to housesit, rather than him pay for Uber, & told him I would do the same on our return, which he thanked me for, saying that would be great! On the day we drove back from vacation, I texted him our estimated time of arrival throughout the day so he had a timeline of when we'd be back. About an hour before our return, I texted him what our firm return time was, & he texted me that he had already left!!!! What?? Where was the key, my concern. He left it under the doormat!! Not at all happy about this!!! We had never once told him this was ok, & if he at least asked, I would of instructed where he could of left the key. Instead he assumed this would be fine. With all the crimes recently in our area, it definitely was not a good idea!!! I was very angry that he didn't even communicate with us, that he had changed his mind, & was leaving early! Once home, we noticed the dogs bowl was low on water, the back gate was not locked as I had shown him how to do & wrote it out as well, & our mail was never brought it. Our neighbors also commented that they never heard him playing with our dog outside, as I had asked him to do once in awhile. & becuz they have a dog who always barks when our dog goes outside, they would of known. So in spite of our disappointment in communication & failure to perform some of the stuff we had requested, our dog was healthy, seemed happy, the house was left clean, & he did get the required walks in the a.m. & p.m. which we were grateful for. We are sad John disappointed us, as we initially really liked him a lot & would of used him again for repeat Rover House sitting, but since he didn't fulfill our requirements of housesitting & especially the lack of communication regarding our front door key, I though it necessary to write this honest & objective review. :(

Very satisfied John is very reliable and he took good care of my pups!

John was exceptional! He took such great care of Rocko and he sent me updates as requested. He thoughtfully followed all instructions and spent extra play time with Rocko just like I would have. He also left my home in excellent shape - which means he had to pick up after Rocko quite a bit. He didn't even mention the fact that Rocko destroyed his shoelaces! *facepalm* I will definitely be requesting John's help in the future.

Friendly and conscientious. My dogs loved him and he left the house cleaner than he found it.
