I have a flexible work schedule that is fully remote so I am fully available to provide pet care, at your home or mine. Please communicate with me what you need so I can be sure to organize my day and time. Outside of pet care, I teach recreation studies to college students. I enjoy getting outside and would be happy to walk with your dog around the dog beach or your local neighborhood.

I follow the care guidelines you provide for your pet, and take extra caution to be sure your pet is safe. That means I am sure to close gates and doors so your pet does not get out, and risk injury from going into the street. If I care for pets in your home, I will respect your space and keep it clean, in the same condition or better.

A typical day
A typical walk day with a dog includes going on a minimum 30 minute walk in your neighborhood (any route you typically take your dog on), or we can explore another area. Then we can practice commands and treat rewards. I will give meals if that is part of the care plan that day. I like to go to Rosie’s dog beach and local dog parks if your pup is socialized well with humans and other dogs!

Pet care experience
I have over 10 years of experience caring for pets, primarily dogs and cats. Dog breeds include: French bulldog, German shepherd, Pitbull, Lab mixes, Terrier mixes, and other mixed breed dogs. I have experience co-raising a German Shepherd dog (Benny) from 8 weeks to 2+ years old. He was my buddy! My experience caring for dogs includes daily walking, play time, feeding, and giving bathes as needed. I have experience taking dogs to veterinary appointments and administering oral and topical medications as needed. I’ve primarily watched after family dogs over the many years. The dogs include: Mocha, Nemo, Sue, Satch, Simon, Daisy, Arthur, Opie, Benny, and Ziggy!

Jodie's been my go-to pet sitter for my tuxedo cat Arya for over 6 years now! And I know is one of Arya's favorite sitters! She is literally my fur baby and I don't trust strangers to watch her, or to stay at my house, but I totally trust Jodie to be caring and respectful of both Arya and my home. As a sitter and guest, Jodie is super thoughtful, caring, and considerate. Always goes above and beyond to take care of Arya with timely feeding, frequently changing the litter, washing the food and water dishes daily, and brushing Arya. Also sends me tons of pictures and videos of Arya being sweet and crazy. Jodie LOVES to play with Arya and makes songs with her, and makes sure to play games with her to stimulate her little kitty brain. And as a house sitter, Jodie is the best! Everytime I return from a trip, my apartment is almost always cleaner than how I left it lol. Even brings in the mail and waters the plants. Hands down the best pet sitter!
Jodie was great taking care of our energetic little puppy for several hours while my husband and I were at work. Luna warmed right up to her at our meet and greet and we already have more dog sitting scheduled with Jodie.
