I have looked after a dog every weekend in my own home for the past 5 years and have pet sit in the homes of others many times. I also love animal company! I love the bonds animals have with us and every new sit is a potential new buddy. It's important I think to continue a pet's routine by keeping their home environment the same as far as possible whether their owner is there or not. To recognise when they want to play, rest or toilet.

Is the dog OK to be let off the lead or would you prefer not? Many dogs don't have great recall away from their regular owner/walker so I always keep your dog on a lead unless you ask me not to. Are they good with other dogs when out? Do we need to be aware of triggers such as cats, children, traffic, noises? What is their routine? What quirks do they have? Where do/don't they like to be touched? It's all very important to ensure a pet is as happy and comfortable as possible when with me. Also do you want photos and updates? I will have many!

I keep a variety of toys in my home and car to allow each pet the stimulation or down time they like. I have squeaky toys, tug toys, ball singers, furry pals to cuddle (or rip apart!). I vary dog outings to allow new sights, smells and experiences. I'm happy to go to pet friendly places such as cafes to allow them to meet and mingle. I'm always up for cuddle time and am not precious about being jumped on, licked/kissed by pets. To me, the pet determines what we do (within reason!) and I understand well what they do or don't want to do. It's amazing how much they can say to us without actually talking!

Hi and thanks for looking at my profile. I'm an experienced, reliable and trustworthy sitter and dog walker. I have decades of owning various pets myself and looking after many pets for others. I love being in the outdoors and nature and even more if I have a four legged companion with me! Life is definitely improved by wet dog walks, muddy fields and parks, sunny beaches (or not, as we often find in the UK !:-) licks, sniffs, throw and catch and all the other joys our pets bring to us. I'm a driver and non-smoker. On a sit, I will be completely respectful of your home and beloveds. I'll even check I'm your parcels, water your plants and put out your bins, ensuring your stay from home is stress-free (unless you go via an airport, in which case, it's out of my control, sorry!) 😁 Happy to chat to answer any questions you might have. We have quite a nervous cat so we we're absolutely delighted that she bonded with Jill, who has been a godsend to us! A very professional lady who I would highly recommend.
Jill is truly a godsend - she is such a lovely person, takes such good care of Bertie and our house - and Bertie adores her! Jill is very patient with Bertie’s issues (reactivity etc) and he is so delighted to see her drive up to the house. Highly recommend.
Jill was friendly, knowledgeable about dogs and extremely courteous to us. She was very down to earth and didn't push herself onto Rowan, our dog - she let her take her time. When we returned from the wedding, Rowan was fast asleep near Jill, which says it all when Rowan had never been in this house before, and had only met Jill that day. Rowan couldn't have been better pleased - she would give Jill 5++ stars and would love to see her again if the 450 miles distance travelled were possible. We have no reservations whatsoever in recommending Jill to anyone looking for a capable dog sitter.
Jill was great. She was super communicative and sent photos and updates when you checked in on our 3 month old puppy. She met him prior to the visit and was kind and gentle with him. Wouldn’t hesitate about using her in the future!
