As fellow pet parents, we understand how important it is to know your dog or cat is in good hands. That’s why we treat every pet as if they were our own, ensuring they feel right at home with plenty of love, attention, and care. We’re a dog-loving family just 10 minutes south of Spartanburg, and we’ve created a peaceful, home-based retreat designed to help dogs feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. At Holly Berry Dog Retreat, your dog won’t be stuck in a noisy, sterile facility. Instead, they’ll spend their days in a cozy, calming space set up like a living room — complete with comfy dog couches, doggy TV, warm lighting (no harsh fluorescents), and even soft veterinarian recommended lavender diffusers to promote rest and ease anxiety. Gentle fans keep the air fresh and the atmosphere cool and comfortable. Each day includes scheduled playtime in our large, fully fenced ¼-acre backyard — plenty of room to sniff, explore, and get the wiggles out! We also have an indoor play area for rainy days or hot afternoons, so the fun doesn’t stop when the weather changes. At night, dogs sleep in their own private & spacious 4x6 climate-controlled kennel inside our dedicated retreat space. Their dedicated sleeping spaces are clean, cozy, and familiar for many dogs — especially those who are crate-trained or do best with a structured sleep environment. We dim the lights each evening to help them ease into rest, creating a peaceful bedtime routine. We love dogs and treat them like family — because that’s what they are. Whether your dog is high-energy or a couch potato, we’ll care for them with patience, affection, and attention to detail. If your dog does not play well with other dogs or has fear, anxiety or aggression we are not the right fit for your family.
