Right now I’m a full-time veterinary student, so I’m in class about 8 hours a day, but my schedule still allows me plenty of flexibility before and after school, during lunch, as well as on weekends. I am usually done with class by 5pm. Also, I’m used to balancing a busy academic load with attentive animal care, and I will structure my day around feeding, walking, playtime, and check-ins. Because I’m constantly learning about animal behavior, health, and handling, caring for pets isn’t just something I fit in — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and feel confident doing every single day.

Safety, trust & environment
In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — feeding according to their schedule, providing fresh water, daily walks if needed, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I pay close attention to behavior and comfort so pets feel secure even while their owners are away. When caring for pets in my own home, I make sure they have a comfortable space to relax, plenty of supervised interaction, and a clean environment. I always monitor for any changes in appetite, behavior, or bathroom habits and adjust care as needed. With my veterinary background, I’m confident handling medications, basic health needs, and individual care plans.
Information Jasslee S. would like to know about your pet
I do like to have meet and greets prior to confirming booking in order to make sure your pet is comfortable with me but also to get clear details with the following things: 1) Daily routine: feeding schedule, preferred activities, and any household rules. 2) Medical needs: medications, allergies, chronic conditions, mobility issues, or anything I should monitor. 3) Comfort items like favorite toys, treats, or where they like to lay. 4) Emergency info like your vet’s contact information or the next best person if I cant get ahold of you for some reason.
A typical day
I like to support each pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs who love to move, I enjoy taking them on walks, playing fetch, or exploring things. For more relaxed pups, we can take slower strolls or enjoy plenty of cuddle time.

Pet care experience
As a first year vet student at Iowa State University, with over five years of hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant, I know how to keep pets happy, healthy, and relaxed. I pay attention to the little quirks and try to understand pets on a deeper level in order to treat every animal like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and completely at home. I believe communication is important so I will provide daily updates to give you a complete peace of mind while you're away.
Reviews

Jasslee took great care of our dog Leo! She was thoughtful and patient with him, taking him for walks and giving him his medicine when needed. She kept us updated about him. She also was very respectful of our home. We would definitely have her come back to take care of Leo again!

Our pup is sweet but very shy, and Jasslee was so kind and patient with him. She really took the time to make him feel comfortable, and it was great to see him warm up to her. She kept us updated every day with pictures and his schedule, which we truly appreciated and which helped us enjoy our trip without worrying. We came back to a happy pup, and she was always super prompt whenever we reached out to her. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.
I have known Jasslee since she was a young girl and she has always been one of the most compassionate, caring, and kind person. These characteristics flow over into her love of animals. She has dog sat for my beautiful fur-baby many times and I am always confident that Layla is in good hands anytime she is with Jasslee. It is easy to see how much my puppy loves Jasslee anytime she comes over, as Layla will run right up to her and shower her with kisses. Jasslee has always been a hard worker and extremely responsible. I would trust any animal with her. She would be a fantastic addition to your Rover family and I know any of the owners that she comes into contact with would feel the same way.
Jasslee has been our reliable dog sitter for years. She stays at our house while we go on vacation as well as short term care. Jasslee is very calm and friendly which works best with our high energy dogs. Jasslee is very knowledgeable and passionate about pet care which makes us feel safe and worry free while we’re away from our dogs.
