Pet care fits in cleanly — not squeezed in. I keep my schedule intentional, so when I commit to a visit, your pet gets my full attention, not whatever time is left over. I’m consistent, on time, and mindful of routines — because that’s what actually keeps pets settled.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat your home like it’s yours — and your pet like they’re paying attention (because they are). I follow instructions closely, keep things clean and orderly, and stay aware of your pet’s behavior and environment at all times. No shortcuts, no guesswork — just attentive, reliable care so everything feels exactly as it should when you return.
Information Ianthe D. would like to know about your pet
Tell me who your pet actually is. Are they sweet? Dramatic? A little manipulative? Do they test boundaries with new people? I’m good with personality — I just like to know what I’m walking into so I can handle them the way you do. The more I understand their personality, the better I can match your approach — so they feel comfortable and don’t try anything new just because I’m the “fun aunt.” Also let me know their favorites: toys, treats, routines, and anything that keeps them happy and settled.
A typical day
Calm, structured, and centered around your pet — not me. Visits are purposeful: feeding, fresh water, light play or walks, and making sure your pet is comfortable and settled. I don’t rush in and out — I take the time to make the visit feel complete, not transactional.

Trust. Discretion. Care.
Pet care experience
I approach this work a little differently. What I offer is Private Stewardship—thoughtful, professional care of your pets, your home, and the everyday rhythms that continue while you’re away. This is a full-time business for me beyond Rover, but I maintain my presence here so clients looking for professionalism, genuine care, and a responsible adult to entrust with their home can find me. My work extends beyond my local community. I have clients domestically and abroad, work with households across different states, and travel to oversee homes and properties when needed. I also bring professional property management experience to my work, which has shaped the way I understand responsibility, discretion, communication, and the care required when someone entrusts their property to another person. Many of the relationships I’ve built through Rover have become repeat clients, while others have found me locally and through personal referrals. I value those ongoing relationships deeply. Getting to know a home, understanding an animal’s personality and routines, and becoming someone a client can confidently call when they’re planning their next trip is the kind of work I enjoy most. When I’m in your home, I don’t simply “house sit.” I steward it. I care for your animals with attention and affection while also tending to the home itself. I bring in packages and mail, care for plants, maintain the spaces I use, keep things clean and orderly, and pay attention to the small things that might otherwise go unnoticed. I notice. I clean. I keep in order. There is also a quiet spiritual element to the way I care for a space. When appropriate and welcomed, I enjoy opening windows and allowing fresh air to move through the home, refreshing its atmosphere and helping the space feel peaceful and renewed for your return. I take the responsibility of being welcomed into someone’s private world seriously. Trust. Privacy. Discretion. Clear communication and respect are foundational to how I work. My goal is simple: while you’re away enjoying your life, you shouldn’t have to wonder what’s happening at home. Your pets are loved, your property is cared for, and someone experienced and attentive is there overseeing the details. If you’re looking for more than a sitter—someone you can build an ongoing relationship with and confidently entrust with your home—I’d be happy to meet you and your animals.

Reviews

Ianthe was a Godsend to our senior dog while we were traveling for a wedding. She took amazing care of Milo and was so kind and pleasant to talk to. We will definitely be scheduling with her again!

Ianthe did an excellent job caring for my cats while staying at my home. She was detail oriented, reliable, and performed exactly as promised. The cats were well looked after and the house was just as I left it, calm and orderly. It’s always a relief to come home to happy pets and a peaceful home. Highly recommend her services!
Truly the best dog sitter / house sitter!! A true pleasure to work with. She's calm, professional, kind. She takes care of things, she sends photos, she communicates anything needed. I feel at ease when she's at my home and with the dogs. I've been fortunate enough to work with Ianthe twice and look forward to doing so again.

By far the best cat sitter we have ever found. We returned home to a purring, contented little guy - fluffy and well groomed. The house was also immaculate and all the plants, mail - everything had clearly been given attention and care. Ianthe is a total pro, I felt 1000% safe and secure knowing she was minding things at home. And her photo updates were funny and sweet - she’s kind of a riot, and an excellent communicator. She goes the extra mile to offer real care. Recommended wholeheartedly!
