I love animals! I grew up with a childhood dog, a sweet boxer named Charlie. When I was in high school, we adopted a shih-tzu mix named Ella, and I helped with walking, feeding, bathing, training, and of course, providing belly rubs. I briefly considered going to vet school, so I spent half a year volunteering at a veterinary office, where I learned a lot about cats and dogs, their behaviors, and how to take care of them. My career path led me away from veterinary medicine, but I still wanted to keep animals in my life. I began volunteering with PAWS NY when I was in undergrad, and have helped several elderly clients with walking their dogs. Most recently, I fostered a cat for several months while his owner was in the hospital. Animals bring me so much joy and I hope to make them happy as well!
