Animals have always been a huge part of my life and I could not imagine my life without them. I can happily watch over special needs pups, and I can always guarantee that your house we'll be just as clean as you left it.
Information Evan D. would like to know about your pet
I like to know first if there are any aggressive tendencies the dog may have such as resource guarding or sensitive scratching locations. I have no fears of more aggressive behavior, but of course will just want to make sure I'm not causing the dog or their owner any unnecessary stress. Secondly, I like to know if the dog(s) are comfortable with socializing with unfamiliar dogs in the area, in case I thought of taking them to a dog park. Lastly, but most importantly, any medical needs that need my attention are crucial.
A typical day
When I watch dogs of my own or friends and family, I always like to start with a nice walk to build a trusting relationship. Afterwards, water, belly rubs, and head scratches seal the deal. I am very comfortable in NorthEast Kansas City Park as it is clean, well monitored and spacious. If the dog I'm watching is known to work well with other dogs, a dog park play day is always a winner! In the event of a dog whom might not want to be out and socialize, a relaxing day inside with gentle pets so they can relax while their owner is away can be just the medicine they need.

I have not had a day in my 36 years of living where I was not with a pet or pets. I have professional experience as part of the canine care team at KC Pet Project before Covid-19 limited the work force.

Evan stayed in our home for over two weeks with our four animals (two cats, two dogs), and we couldn’t be more grateful! He sent us lots of updates with cute photos and videos, and our animals clearly loved him. He even extended his stay when our plans changed, and our home was clean and organized when we returned. This was the first time my guy was left without either of his parents. Evan was accommodating, communicative and kind. It gave me peace of mind leaving Murphy with someone else while I was away. Evan provided periodic updates and photos. Would definitely book him again!

Evan is an absolute cat whisperer. We left town for two weeks, and normally on our vacations one of our two cats is so upset that he won’t even come out of the basement. He doesn’t generally take to new people, either. By the end of the trip, both of our cats were cuddling Evan like old friends. Booking him for our vacation gave me so much peace of mind.
