For house sitting, I will stay overnight, and be at home during the day often, working from my computer when I'm not on other appointments, (or grabbing food or something). I keep my range of service small so I can spend less time commuting, and focus on caring for your friends and get to your location quickly and easily to avoid tardiness or unexpected absences.

I know every household runs differently and each pet will be accustomed to different routines and rules. I am flexible and would be happy to learn and follow the rules of your home and keep things as routine and stress-free for your pets as possible while you are away! I'm comfortable with giving lots of love, play, and snuggles both indoors and outdoors, or also just keeping a watchful eye from a distance when pets need some space. I know pets can require some extra care around the house in the form of cleaning as well, and I always strive to return your home to the state I found it in when I arrived. This includes taking out the trash, wiping down surfaces I've dirtied, sweeping/vacuuming if needed, and washing my towels/linens unless requested otherwise. I always send lots of photo and video updates while you're away, and video calls are of course also possible if requested.

I would like to know their typical routine, any special needs they have, and if there are any behavioral issues and how you prefer they are handled. I always require a meet and greet for safety reasons to ensure that your pets do not display any aggression towards me, and have a safe introduction to me while their owners are around. I want to ensure they are happy and find me a good fit!

I love walking through tree lined neighborhoods, along Alki, or through Schmidt Park! Happy to play fetch or tug of war in the yard or play indoors with kitties and small dogs and their preferred toys. Snuggles for longer drop-ins or house sits are always a pleasure.

I'm a PNW native looking to provide care and companionship for your loved ones while you're away, stress-free! I have lots of experience with pets of my own, as well as helping to care for the critters of others. Dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, lizards, fish... I am familiar with giving insulin and fluid injections as well as administering oral and topical medications (for dogs and cats), even those who won't fall for peanut butter or cheese pockets! My specialty is caring for older animals who have some extra needs, I'm gentle and quiet, familiar with special diets, comfortable with cleaning up messes, and as mentioned, providing medication. That said, I am also happy to provide active play times and long walks to the more energetic or youthful pets as well, of course! I hope you'll consider booking with me!

Erika was one of the best house sitters we’ve had so far! It’s the simple acts like washing the sheets and lite cleaning before our arrival that made her go above and beyond. We will be definitely booking her again!
Erika and Maxwell took such great care of our pets and house. We got fantastic photos throughout our time away. They were very responsive to any questions and enthusiastic about spending time with our pup! Would definitely recommend them.

Erika did a wonderful job of caring for Wallace. She came by before the visit to meet Wallace and understand what was needed. She arrived on time, took him on a nice walk and fed him dinner. I wouldn't hesitate to book Erika again for another visit. :)
